However, it seems like fans who bought this premium edition are getting a few extra things once the Pre-Patch forThe War Withinbegins. Players with the Epic Edition already have access to Squally, a blue storm rook Battle Pet, in the game right now. OnceThe War Within’s Pre-Patch comes toWorld of Warcraft, these fans will be able to earn Flash, Gale, and Thundo – a red, purple, and yellow recolors of Squally – by completing a short quest.

After the Pre-Patch arrives, fans will find Kurdran Wildhammer in Valdrakken, who offers the Gryphons of a Feather quest. The Dwarf informs players that Squally misses her friends before sending them to seek out the wayward gryphons scattered across the Dragon Isles. Once fans find all three of them, they can complete the quest by summoning Squally once more, after which the other three Battle Pets will be added to their collections.

While the Pre-Patch doesn’t have an official date yet, a July 23 launch has all but been confirmed via a datamined splash screen and thecessation of several paidWorld of Warcraftgame services on July 22. Players with the Collector’s Edition won’t be able to pick up these new pets right away, as they will need to enter their code when the physical product ships beforeThe War Withinlaunches in August. That said, these fans can buy the Epic Edition to get these digital items immediately, and get the $90 immediately refunded as Battle.net balance.
