AsFortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 3’s Wrecked comes to an end on August 15, players have finally received their first teaser of what awaits them in Chapter 5 Season 4. The domination of Nitro and vehicles is set to end extremely soon, and to say goodbye to the season and the narrative, comes a mini live event.
The latestFortnitelive event ushers in the next Season in the never-ending chapters of the game, but for players who might have missed the live event due to its release on August 10 at 2 PM ET, they might want to know just what happened toalter the Battle Royale island.

What Happened During the Fortnite Live Event?
A timer arrived at Brutal Beachhead, counting down the hours, minutes, and seconds until August 10 at 2 PM ET. Jumping into a standard game of Battle Royale, whether Zero Build or Build Mode, players could leap from the Battle Bus and watch the live event unfold, where an ominous alarm rings through the island. When the event starts, Redline Rig lights up in preparation for an attack by Megalo Don, who states that the fate of the wastelanders is sealed, and an unhappy ending awaits them.
The pipeline connecting Brutal Beachhead and Redline Rig begins to light up and charge with Nitro to fill the Leviathan. Before the charge can be completed, the machinery is hacked with an ominous chuckle, by a mysterious hooded green symbol, which is most likelyDoctor Doom from Marvel. Much to Megalo Don’s dismay, this causes the Nitro to overload and explode, and the pipeline ignites a chain reaction that ends with the mass destruction of Redline Rig.

Once the dust settles, and the mushroom cloud dissipates, players could head over to the ruins of Redline Rig, to see the debris, and the alarming treasure that lurked underneath this POI. It is revealed that Pandora’s Box remains on the island, and it was buried under Redline Rig this whole time. With Megalo Don’s plan to use the Leviathan and Nitro failed Doctor Doom sets his sights on Pandora’s Box, leading into Chapter 5 Season 3, where Marvel heroes return to the Battle Royale island to aid Magneto and stop Doctor Doom’s conquest.
Whilst players must wait for August 16 forFortniteChapter 5 Season 3, the officialFortniteX (formerly Twitter) account has already teased the next season, with aFortnitex Marvel banner stating that the story is…to be continued.
