This supernatural horror film is written and directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan, the daughter of famed director M. Night Shyamalan, in her feature film directorial debut.The Watchersfollows a young woman named Mina who is stranded in a large remote forest in western Ireland. She manages to find shelter, but she also finds herself trapped with three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures in the night. Shyamalan seems to befollowing in her father’s footstepsin terms of directing unsettling movies, so it will be interesting to see how their styles differ.

Not much is known about the film right now, other than that it’s a psychological thriller set at a concert, which sounds scary enough on its own. Shyamalan described this movie as very different from what he’s been doing recently, which is exciting news for those who are fans of the director and are excited to see him try out new things.

The original 1994 film has a lot of baggage around it and is well-known in film fan circles due to the fact that its principal actor, Brandon Lee, was fatally injured during filming. This remake has been in talks for a long time, with a slew of different people attached, so it’s exciting that it will finally be seeing the light of day in 2024.
