Since its release in 2011,TheElder Scrolls 5: Skyrimhas cemented itself as one of the most renowned role-playing games. The famous Bethesda title has a massive fanbase that spends hundreds of hours exploring the game’s expansive open world. In addition,Skyrimtakes a long time to completedue to the generous number of main and side quests in the game.
As gamers spend several hours playingSkyrim, it’s only natural they encounter strange occurrences. Most of these bizarre incidents can be attributed to glitches, which have been a persistent problem forSkyrimfans. These bugs often cause NPCs to defy physics, as oneSkyrimglitch shows an NPC swimming mid airand another causes NPCs to spin randomly before flying into the sky.

AnotherThe Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimgamer has stepped forward, sharing their weird experience while playing the game. Reddit user Common-Independent-9 was exploring the region of Rorikstead when they came across something rather peculiar that doesn’t fit in the fantasy setting ofSkyrim. The user uploaded an image of what looks like modern-day power lines running across Rorikstead. The image is captured during the nighttime in the game and shows four of these so-called electricity wires running over a small house. As expected, the Reddit community was amused by this, and many added humorous comments, most of which centered around these wires being somehow related to fast travel.
For those who don’t know, Rorikstead is one of the many establishments inSkyrim. It lies in Whiterun Hold near the western border adjacent to The Reach and is a relatively small settlement that contains a couple of cottages, an inn, and a manor. Besides these, Rorikstead also has two farms, one of which is run by Ennis and Reldith, while Lemkil runs the other with the help of his two daughters. Speaking of Lemkil, he is considered asecretly evil character inSkyrimdue to his questionable parenting techniques. If players are vigilant, they can witness Lemkil physically reprimanding either of his two daughters.
Rorikstead is one of the numerous establishments located in Whiterun Hold, the largest of all nine holds inThe Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. Besides covering the most significant area and Rorikstead, Whiterun Hold is famous for containing someexciting unmarked locations inSkyrimthat don’t appear on the map. These include the Wispmother Well, an ancient structure consisting of two pillars, and most notably, a dead body of an enormous crustacean.
