Gotham Knightshad a bit of a rough launch, with many upset about the 30 FPS lock on consoles, a few odd design decisions, and so on. Per manyGotham Knightsreviews, it has its redeeming qualities, but it has definitely been a bumpy ride and the technical issues are a dealbreaker for many fans.

Luckily,Gotham Knightsdeveloper WB Games Montreal is hard at work on patching the game. It recently released a PC patch focused on fixing various UI issues, graphical settings, Keyboard and Mouse input issues, co-op not working, and various crashes including one specific to AMD. The company also outlined via a Twitter thread what all fans, including those on console, can expect in the coming weeks.

A similar patch forGotham Knightson consoleis expected by the end of the week (or EoD October 28), to be precise. This patch will address a variety of fixes that have become clear since launch, but that’s not all. The developer states that it is aware of several performance issues, specifically with framerate stability inGotham Knights,on PCs and consoles. Therefore, WB Games Montreal is hard at work on a much larger patch to target these issues and improve performance overall, though it does not put a date on it. It ends by encouraging players to continue reporting bugs, presumably to be fixed in future patches as well.

Indeed, many reports indicate that the game is struggling to maintain its 30 FPS on consoles, and whileGotham Knightsmay be best on PC, it’s struggling to keep its 60 FPS up there as well. For now, fans will just have to wait and see what comes of these patches. Many are hoping the game has a bright future despite its flaws, after all. Once WB Games Montreal has its performance where it wants it, many are hoping that DLC is a viable option for the game.

It would seem thatGotham Knights' overall design is perfect for DLC. Much of the game is delivered through case files, with there being 3 major Villain Case files in the game. This could easily be expanded and bring some more villainous star power to the game post-release, but for now, it’s clear certain elements take precedence.

Gotham Knightsis available now for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
