ACall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2player recorded a gameplay clip of an unlucky opponent falling into spinning helicopter blades while spawning into the map.Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’sspawn points have been a heated topic of discussion in recent months as players continue to find themselves in bizarre situations while attempting to play multiplayer matches.
2022’sModern Warfare 2is one of the most successfulCall of Dutyreleases of all time, and its post-launch support has continued to bring returning and new players into the fray. Season 1 Reloaded is ongoing with the popular Shipment map, and the game retains a very large player base across consoles and PC since the October 2022 launch. However,Modern Warfare 2’srespawn mechanicsand general spawn points keep drawing criticism into the holidays and the new year. For example, a bug caused players to be trapped in an unfortunate spawn point on the Shipment map. Players have cited frustrations with the squad spawning mechanic and its lack of reliable spawns as well.

Reddit user Username_Checks captured a final killcam of an unlucky player parachuting to their own demise to end aGround War match inModern Warfare 2. During the killcam, the player is shown parachuting out of their team’s helicopter and swiftly falling into an inconveniently placed enemy helicopter close by. Since the player was automatically facing toward the enemy helicopter, the free fall didn’t last long due to short distance away from the deadly helicopter blades.
During the gameplay clip, a fellow teammate may be seen parachuting to safety in the distance away from the enemy helicopter. Unfortunately, Username_Checks' Ground War match finished soon after the kill, so players didn’t have an immediate chance at redemption. At the very least, a helicopter blade kill is a rare feat for a player to achieve inModern Warfare 2.
Unreliable squad spawns and spawn trapping are among some ofModern Warfare 2’smost persistent issues. Activision should address spawns in future updates while adjusting squad spawn locations. Players should not spawn in the middle of a helicopter gunfight that may go terrible wrong, for instance. Spawn adjustments may help alleviate the grievances of the player base in large Ground War maps and small maps including thenewly added Shipment map.
On the other hand, the final helicopter killcam is a memorable gameplay clip captured ina chaotic match ofModern Warfare 2. Activision and Infinity Ward need to strike the correct balance between adjustments andModern Warfare 2’senticing gameplay for 2023.
