In a surprise announcement,Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2is being remastered in 4k glory for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC on September 4th. Not only will the games include the classic locales, the legendary skaters, and the gameplay that players remember, but it also will come with most of the original soundtrack.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skateris one of the most beloved franchises in gaming, however, it’s been on quite the hideous over the past few years. One of the major reasons the games are loved has to do with the skateboarding culture created behind the titles, including the music.

Theannouncement forTony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2comes with the fanfare that would be expected, including an awesome trailer that sends chills down the spines of anyone who played the games in the late ’90s and early 2000s. The levels are there, Tony Hawk is there, and of course, the music is there.
The unforgettable soundtrack that is returning includes the likes of Powerman 5000, Bad Religion, Dead Kennedys, Goldfinger, Millencolin, Naughty By Nature, Papa Roach, Primus, Lag Wagon, and Rage Against The Machine. There is the possibility that more and new music will be added to the game, but many fans will be happy to learn that all of these classics are returning.
Just last week a newTony Hawkgame was hinted at by Jason Dill, and it’s very possible that this game was what he was referring to. Jason did claim that his own music would be added to the game, which would indicate that new music would be coming toTony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2.
There are also going to be a fewnice pre-order bonuses forTony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, including content that fans would expect to be in the full release. So if anyone is wanting to grab the game, they may feel entitled to grab the pre-order.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2is about the best way for the franchise to make a return, as the games deserve to come back to the light, but they were probably alwaysmost enjoyed with those original twoTony Hawkgames. And with the classic music in the background, fans will be able to pull off crazy and awesome tricks just like the good old days.
