Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandsis now available, and fans have been exploring every nook and cranny of Tina’s fantasy world. While there are plenty of neat secrets to find within the locations themselves, aTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsfan has found an awesome detail on one of the game’s weapons.

The detail in question is tied to red text, a feature that has beenan aspect ofBorderlandsfrom the very beginning. Found on certain Rare, Epic, and Legendary gear, red text is used to signify that the item players have in their inventory is special in some way. Usually, red text is used to either reference something specific - likeStar Warsor Marvel properties - or to hint at something special that the weapon or shield does. In the case of Reddit user nmpo, the red text followed the latter path.

As shown in their Reddit post, the weapon in question was a Hyperius Sniper Rifle called the Aphotic Antique Greatbow. On first glance, the weapon’s stats are incredible, and fans of either Sniper Rifles or Hyperion weaponry could want to pick it up. However, for those that do not plan on sniping their way throughQueen’s Gateor Mount Craw, the gun serves another purpose. As revealed by the weapon text, the weapon sells for significantly more than other guns if it is never fired, giving players a reason to keep it in their inventory instead of trying it out themselves.

With thisHyperiussniper needing to be in a pristine state to sell for a lot of gold, though, the red text message staying the same once it is fired would not make much sense. Sure enough, it changes once the gun has been shot, with the funny adjustment to “what a pity” shown in an image shared by the player. It’s also worth noting that the weapon’s stats are lowered significantly after it has been shot, doubling down on the idea that it is a gimmick weapon that should be sold or stored instead of wielded in combat.

WhileTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsplayers likely will not be running throughChaos Chamberswith the Antique Greatbow, it is always nice to see a joke weapon. Going forward, perhaps Gearbox will continue to experiment with the idea of changing red text. As for nmpo, they never actually saw the original red text, so they accidentally stripped the gun of its value before finding out its purpose. On the bright side, the gamers that saw this post will now know to sell the weapon immediately.

WithTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsjust releasing a few days ago, plenty more weapons likely remain undiscovered. For those that spot the Antique Greatbow, though, they may want to put it right into their backpack and head straight for a weapon vendor.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandsis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
