Friday afternoon,THQ Nordicannounced 6 upcoming games. Those games includeDestroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed,MX vs. ATV: Legends,Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake,Outcast 2 - A New Beginning,Jagged Alliance 3, andSuperPower 3. It’s a lot of announcements for one day, but it just so happens thatTHQ Nordichouses a lot of game studios. In fact, to close out the event, THQ Nordic teased that it has many more announcements coming – almost 5x more.

To close out the THQ Nordic announcement event, followed up by a confirmation on Twitter, the company revealed that there are 28 more games in development that have yet to be announced. That’s separate from thegames that THQ Nordic revealedearlier today. THQ Nordic isn’t offering any clues as to what those 28 games could be, at the moment. Regardless, considering how diverse today’s 6 games are, expect the remaining 28 to cover a wide range of genres and fandoms.

One exciting detail that THQ Nordic did offer a clue about is when fans can expect to hear more information about the unannounced 28 games, or at least some of them. A fan on Twitter responded to THQ’s confirmation of the 28 games, telling the company to announce them already. THQ Nordic then responded to that request, saying to expect an announcement for “some of them” and “soon.” There may be anotherTHQ Nordic announcementeventarriving before too long.

There is one other detail that THQ Nordic noted about its upcoming 28 games. The list of titles doesn’t include any games from THQ Nordic subsidiaryHandyGames. HandyGames is best known for itsTownsmengame franchise, but is mostly a publisher based out of Germany. It isn’t entirely clear why THQ Nordic specifically decided to make clear HandyGames wasn’t included.

THQ Nordic has plenty of other subsidiaries that could announce a new game apart from HandyGames, however. That list includes Gunfire Games, developer ofDarksiders 3,Remnant: From the Ashes, andChronos, Bugbear Games, developer ofWreckfest, an open-world action-adventure game from Appeal Studios, a historical strategy/RPG from Ashborne Games, a top-down ARPG codename Project Minerva fromSpellforce 3developer Grimlore Games, and also the follow-up toKingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoningfrom Kaiko.

Needless to say, there are a lot ofexciting projects in development at THQ Nordic, even with the limited information that’s been made available. And ifTHQ Nordicis to be believed, some of those announcements may be coming sooner than expected.
