Thankfully, the following characters managed to be pretty funny without being thoroughly grating in the process, which is a pretty major achievement.
10Ultros (Final Fantasy 6)
Ultros is one of the most lovable villains inFinal Fantasy, with his goofy demeanor making him an instant hit with fans. It helps thathis role as a recurring boss inFinal Fantasy 6makes him even more memorable.
This monster loves to throw a wrench in the party’s plans at every step of the way. His funny dialogue coupled with his harebrained plans makes him one of the best bosses in gaming history for sheer comedic value alone.

9Yuffie (Final Fantasy 7)
Themere act of getting Yuffie in the partyis so obtuse that it’s easy to see why players love this character so much. Even the simple act of opening the menu or saving leads to Yuffie escaping the scene whenever she’s discovered.
As an optional party member, Yuffie doesn’t get too many moments to shine in the main story. That being said, the sidequest with her in Wutai is pretty memorable and makes for a fresh change of pace.

8Prompto (Final Fantasy 15)
Prompto is one of the four main party members inFinal Fantasy 15who is an absolute joy to interact with. He may be a bit too quirky for his own good, but there’s no denying that Prompto has his moments where players really get to understand his character.

Beneath his goofy exterior lies a pretty conflicted character who would lay his life down for his friends at a moment’s notice. His constant quips make him a great character who further lends credibility to the friendship that plays a key part in this game.
7Jack Garland (Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin)
Out of all the funnyFinal Fantasycharacters, Jack Garland doesn’t really try to be funny at all. However, it’s the manner in which he cuts off bosses andconstantly focuses on chasing Chaosthat makes him such an unintentionally hilarious character.
Any interaction featuring this character becomes comedy gold in thisFinal Fantasyspinoff. The game itself may not be all that remarkable, but it’s Jack who steals the show with his infinitely meme-able dialogue.

6Galuf (Final Fantasy 5)
Final Fantasy 5decided to go for a more light-hearted approach when it came to its tone as opposed to its predecessor. While this shift had a pretty mixed reaction, there’s no denying that it lets the characters be really funny when required.
Galuf is one such character who is a blast to interact with, with this amnesiac old man being quite funny when the situation calls for it. That being said, his backstory ends up being quite riveting, withhis death at the hands of Exdeathbeing pretty memorable as well.

5Palmer (Final Fantasy 7)
Final Fantasy 7really hammers in its anti-capitalism message, with the higher-ups at Shinra being pretty incompetent and cartoonishly evil in their own ways. One person that really encompasses the former trait is Palmer.
The mere fact that this character appears as a boss fight only to be disposed of in a pretty hilarious manner shows just how funny he really is. Palmer is far from the biggest threat in Shinra, but he’s still a memorable part of the game regardless.

4Kefka (Final Fantasy 6)
Kefka isone of the most memorableFinal Fantasyvillains. He’s a jester at heart who constantly delivers a slew of funny moments across the series without losing that maniacal edge that makes him so memorable.
It’s hard to believe that a person who can seem so goofy is so hell-bent on destroying the world, but, against all odds,he actually achieves this goal. Defeating this boss in the World of Ruin is the first step taken by the heroes ofFinal Fantasy 6to heal the world for good.

3Rikku (Final Fantasy 10)
Rikku is a character who initially seems pretty immature and reckless, perhaps a bit too much for her own good. However, it helps that her character develops quite a bit aside from these instances as well.

2The Turks (Final Fantasy 7)
The Turks are some of the most memorable antagonists inFinal Fantasy 7, being pretty funny yet quite intimidating at the same time. It’s the hilarious dynamic shared by this group that makes them such a blast to interact with.
Reno and Rude are pretty funny in their own right, with the latter’s crush on Tifa being pretty remarkable indeed. Watching this grouphelp out the main party when they infiltrate Midgarafter serving as a thorn in their side for so long makes one of the many memorable moments inFinal Fantasy 7.

1Gilgamesh (Final Fantasy 5)
Gilgamesh is easily one of the best characters inFinal Fantasy 5. Serving as a lackey to Exdeath, the manner in which this character is bossed around and insulted makes him a pretty sympathetic figure.
Of course, it’s not like Gilgamesh does himself any favors in this situation either. His goofy and callous nature leads to the heroes escaping at his expense time and time again, withthe many battles against himbeing challenging yet hilarious at the same time.
