Capcom has revealed that M. Bison, the first character ofStreet Fighter 6’s Year 2 pass and the game’s next DLC character, will be coming sooner than fans might have expected: Jul 23, 2025. Capcom’s momentum forStreet Fighter 6isn’t slowing down anytime soon, as following the first year DLC pass that added four new characters, both new and old, a second pass was recently revealed at Summer Game Fest. This second pass of content is touting not only the return of two fan-favorite characters but also guest fighters from SNK’sFatal Furyfranchise.

Street Fighter 6’s Year 2 passsees the return of Elena and M. Bison. Elena was first introduced inStreet Fighter 3as part of the “new generation,” and was a nature-loving fighter from Kenya. M. Bison, on the other hand, is one of the series' most iconic villains, who first appeared inStreet Fighter 2as a non-playable boss character, and would regularly assume the role in several games afterward. His reign as Shadaloo’s leader was seemingly stopped when he was defeated by Ryu during the events ofStreet Fighter 5, and was presumed dead. However, the iconic villain has returned somehow, and will be terrorizing the roster ofStreet Fighter 6this June.

Street Fighter 6’s Year 2 reveal trailer was shown at Summer Game Fest, briefly showcasing each fighter and their release windows, with M. Bison being the first to release, arriving in Summer 2024. Following Summer Game Fest, Capcom teased fans about a gameplay trailer for M. Bison, showing off some of his moves and how he plays. Following the premiere of M. Bison’s gameplay trailer,Capcom also revealed on Twitterthat M. Bison would be added to the roster on June 26, which is only a few weeks away.

When Will M. Bison Be Added to Street Fighter 6?

According to Capcom, this version of theclassicStreet Fightervillainis suffering from amnesia, where he now wanders aimlessly upon his steed. While Bison has become a wandering drifter, he reclaims his old identity for himself, remaining the same character back in the older games. This iteration of Bison retains all the same moves fans are familiar with, such as the Psycho Crusher, Head Stomp, and even his Psycho Charge fromStreet Fighter 5. While M. Bison is still played by Gerald C. Rivers in the English dub, his longtime Japanese voice actor, Norio Wakamoto, will not be reprising his role, being succeeded by Taiten Kusunoki.

After M. Bison,Terry Bogard from SNK’sFatal Furyfranchisewill be added as the next character toStreet Fighter 6’s roster, arriving in Autumn 2024. Following Terry will be Elena in Spring 2025, andFatal Fury’s Mai Shiranui in Winter 2025.
