Popular Twitch streamer Clara “Keffals” Sorrenti is known to be the target of harassment from time to time, and a game developer has had their game removed fromSteamafter a transphobic rant pointing to the trans livestreamer. This rant was spotted inDomina’s patch notes by several fans that read the text that was mostly irrelevant to the changes made to the game beforeSteampromptly took action.
Keffals is among a growing list ofswatted Twitch streamersto publicly speak about their experiences, but the negativity towards the livestreamer continues despite such a risk being taken with her life already. The Twitch community quickly discovered that those targeting Keffals came from a group called Kiwi Farms, but the popular Twitch streamer may face a new threat in Nicholas Gorissen from Dolphin Barn Incorporated. Because of the statements made inDomina’s patch notes, Steam users can no longer purchase the simulation strategy game and Dolphin Barn Incorporated has been promptly removed as a developer on the storefront as well.

Domina’s recent patch notes that called itDominusattacked Keffals and the transgender community with slurs and reference to dead naming, which may have stoked the negativity that thepopular Twitch streamerhas already experienced. The rant goes on multiple tangents and almost entirely ignoresDominaand even suggests that the game itself didn’t exist prior to its removal from Steam. Nicholas Gorissen publicly disclosed Valve’s given reason for removing the game from Steam, and it largely revolves around “insults targeting another person,” though the game may have still been banned if the transphobia remained vague given how inappropriate it is.
Steam has ended its business relationship with Dolphin Barn Incorporated entirely as a result of the patch notes rant, and any “associated products” have also been removed from the storefront. Nicholas Gorissen pointed to Valve’sGabe Newellspecifically about the studio’s canceling, saying that Steam’s “moderation team and VPs will end up costing him millions in payroll.” The developer also suggested on the social media platform Gab thatDominacould have brought millions of dollars to Steam if it wasn’t removed for the transphobic rant in the patch notes.
Because theSteam Storehas a plethora of shovelware titles, some Twitter users have noted Dolphin Barn Incorporated’s ability to get a liked game so quickly removed from the digital store is an unfortunate accomplishment. Keffals herself took to Twitter to share the patch notes and state that she’d like to be kept out of a potential midlife crisis, while many members of the Twitch community expressed appreciation for the streamer in response.
