The cat is already out of the bag and fans are aware that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil will be making an appearance inShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law. While many assume that the character will continue his arc from the Netflix seriesDaredevil, the creators of the upcoming Marvel Studios series have clarified that is not the case, as it seems like his character’s personality is getting a makeover for the upcoming series.
In theShe-Hulk: Attorney at Lawtrailer that was released during the San Diego Comic-Con,Cox’s Daredevil made a surprise appearance. The series creators later confirmed that Cox is in fact a part of the cast roster. However, fans who are looking forward to seeing his character return to the small screen should expect some differences.She-Hulkhead writer Jessica Gao has explained that it was quite surprising for her to know that Daredevil was being included in the script, and they had to make some tweaks to make him fit into Jennifer Walters' world.

Rumors about Cox joining the MCU as Daredevil were spinning online for a while before he firstappeared inSpider-Man: No Way Homeas the lawyer Matt Murdock. So, when Gao began working on theShe-Hulk: Attorney at Lawscript and was told they could use Daredevil, she was shocked. “We couldn’t believe it,” she toldThe Directin an interview. The team kept thinking it was “a cruel joke,” and they were being pranked. But, when the writing process began, Gao and her team had to ensure that Cox’s Daredevil would fit into “the tone of She-Hulk.”
“With everycharacter cameo from the MCU, we take them from the environment that you know them from, which is a much more dramatic and action-oriented role, much more on the serious side, and we bring them into our world,” she said, pointing out how Walters' show is more light-hearted. As part of the upcoming show, fans will get to see a “lighter side” of Daredevil, which is interesting because as part of the Netflix series, and the comics, Murdock’s world is typically shrouded in darkness. However, this doesn’t mean that Daredevil’s overall journey in the MCU will be different.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Lawdemands a more light-hearted tone, but future MCU projects where Daredevil appears are relatively more serious. Hisnext appearance will be inEcho, where fans expect him to go against Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin. That meeting will be anything but light.
