Pokemon Scarlet and Violethave done a lot to reshape the classicPokemonformula and take the franchise in a new direction, and while all of it is not necessarily coming back in Gen 10, there are major traditions that The Indigo Disk DLC is still to break. The Teal Mask was an overall upgrade compared to Gen 8’s Isle of Armor, and while the Crown Tundra DLC set a high bar to clear, Gen 9’s The Indigo Disk is slated for a spicy run thanks to its new features, characters, and Pokemon. Theleaked Paradox Pokemon in The Indigo Diskare all but random picks in the franchise’s history, and they could bring back an old Gen 5 gimmick to tease the next releases.
One of the most requested titles right now is aPokemon Legends: Arceussequel, and aPokemon Legends Unovagame would be the perfect middle ground between Gen 5 remakes and a sequel for the popular spin-off. Aside from starters, theLegendary mascot for aPokemon Legends Unovagame would most likely be the so-called Original Dragon, which is the fusion of all three Dragons of the regions - Zekrom, Reshiram, and Kyurem.
The concept of fusions was first introduced in Gen 5, and The Indigo Disk could bring it back to tease new Unova games, coming full circle.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Raging Boltand Iron Crown made the rounds online when they were first revealed because they were seen as follow-up releases to the Tera Raid-exclusive Walking Wake and Iron Leaves. These creatures are two-thirds of the Legendary Beast trio and the Swords of Justice trio (without Keldeo), with them including Suicune, Raikou, and Entei for the former and Virizion, Cobalion, and Terrakion for the latter. As of now, only Paradox Entei and Terrakion are missing to complete their respective trios.
Luckily, renownedPokemonleaker called Riddler Khu shared credible hints that point to the fact thatParadox Entei and Terrakion inPokemon Scarlet and Violetare very much real, and they will come later on in The Indigo Disk’s lifespan. This is not only credible, but it would pave the way for Game Freak to take things to the next level, especially given the illustrations present inPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s books - one for a creature that looks like the fusion of Paradox Suicune, Raikou, and Entei, one for Paradox Virizion, Cobalion, and Terrakion.
How Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Indigo Disk Could Tease Pokemon Legends Unova
Considering that these Pokemon trios will be complete in Gen 9’s Indigo Disk DLC, according to the leaks, it’s not farfetched to think that there could be a fusion gimmick to make them whole like in Heath’s illustration in the Scarlet and Violet books. Likewise, if this does end up being included in the game, the next logical step would be foraPokemon Legends Unovagameto be released and feature a fusion of Zekrom, Reshiram, and Kyurem to represent the Original Dragon, perfecting the formula introduced with Gen 5’s original fusions and version-exclusive Legendaries.
As such, adding these new Paradox Pokemon in The Indigo Disk would be the perfect means to announce aPokemon Legends Unovagame, or even take things further and tease Gen 5 remakes with the Swords of Justice and then aPokemon Legends Johtogame with the Legendary Beasts. Still, while there is no lore-heavy fusion in Gen 2 games, the Original Dragon from Gen 5Pokemongames would most likely be a good pick to foreshadow withPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s latest release.
