With a recent report about one set offans cosplaying as Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters, it’s a game that transcends simple horror. However, that doesn’t mean it’s a perfect game, and is always in need of updates, as a recent post from official sources shows.
In a post uploaded to Twitter recently, it seems Steam players ofResident Evil Villagehave gotten a new update that tweaks the title’s performance. In the tweet, it’s been announced that the game now has FidelityFX Super Resolution, or FSR, support from AMD, which goes towards improving framerates on the PC port. It also says there are some alterations that will optimize the “anti-piracy technology” within the game, which is arguably quite interesting.

The reason why this last piece of information is interesting is that it could be related to thefix for the PC stuttering issue which looked at circumventingVillage’s DRM. If anti-piracy measures are being tinkered with by users, it could mean that Capcom would be interested in looking into that. Of course, this is only speculation, but it’s interesting that the developers are saying they have looked at optimizing it days after someone managed to get around it.
