ThePS5Standard Edition will retail at $499.99 while the Digital Edition comes in at $399.99 Unlike the Series S and Series X which feature some hardware differences, consumers should note that the only real difference between the two is the PS5 has a disc drive while the Digital Edition does not. With roughly two months before release, that’s a not necessarily a lot of time to save up the necessary money. Still, this is where pre-orders come in and can make the whole process a lot simpler. But with reports indicating thePS5 supply may struggle with demand, it may be wise to try to lock in this pre-order as soon as possible. Whether that’s at a brick-and-mortar retailer like GameStop or an online retailer like Amazon, the sooner it’s locked in, the better.

Sony has also revealed something fans need to be aware of: many games will be coming at a premium price.Demon’s SoulsandDestruction All Stars, for example, are price at $69.99.
