Sony recently revealed itsPS PlusExtra and Premium games for February 2023, and they are certainly something. It’s a great month, meaning March 2023 is in for a big challenge. Between the Essential, Extra, and Premium, Sony is giving away high-profile games likeDestiny 2, Mafia, Horizon Forbidden West, Resident Evil 7, Outriders, and more. ThePS Plus games for February 2023might just make up some of the best of the year.
However, if that’s the case, that could break from a longstanding tradition. Every year,Sony tends to give away its best PS Plus selection in March, with past years giving away games likeBloodborne, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, The Witness, Shadow of the Colossus, and many more. If March is going to retain its “best month of the year” crown, it’s going to have release several major games; operating on this assumption, any of the following games could propel the month into the spotlight and retain its status.

The Last of Us RemasteredandThe Last of Us: Left Behindare available for the upper echelons of the PS Plus service, but these versions have essentially been replaced by The Last of Us Part 1. This remake has everything fans expect of such a work, with it being everything fans loved improved from the ground up. It may technically be too soon for Sony to realistically add it to the service, but with theongoing popularity of theLast of UsHBO show, it could definitely benefit from a timely addition.

PS Plus Free Game for March 2023: Elden Ring
Elden Ringmay be a long shot, butPS Plus' games for March competing with Februarymean bringing out the big guns. Past March titles included games likeBloodborne, one of the most beloved games of the PS4 generation, and the only way to compete with a Soulsborne title is with another Soulsborne title.Elden Ring’s popularity remains high, and many fans are hoping for DLC. Putting it on the service would benefit FromSoftware sales as some would get it here and purchase the DLC later, while if someone has multiple platforms and bought it elsewhere, they are likely to get it on their PS4/PS5.Elden Ringwas a juggernaut last year, and it may be time for that Juggernaut to get a little more attention.
PS Plus Extra and Premium Games for March 2023 Wish List
ThePS Plus Extra and Premium gamesare nigh-unpredictable, not just because of how many games Sony adds but because of how many generations they span. Adding PS1-defining games likeVagrant StoryandParasite Evewould also be a good play, while it’s about timeRatchet and Clank: Rift Apartgets added. It’s older thanHorizon Forbidden West, which is joining the service soon.
No matter what, when and if any of these games are added, they would make great additions to thePS Plusservice.
