During a recent livestream, Twitch creator Pokimane briefly states that she won’t be returning to OfflineTV’s privateRustserver, but it’s unclear if this is due to the server’s recent drama.

On December 27, a massive and privateRustserver filled with OfflineTV’s members and their friends had its first successful livestream. The group was started by Valkyrae, one of 2020’s fastest-growing content creators and the winner of the Content Creator of the Year award atThe Game Awardsjust last month. But even with less than a week since the server’s beginnings, drama between the group’s members has piled on with each day. After Valkyrae announced that she might shut the server down due to the drama she feels she’s responsible for, Pokimane says she won’t be returning.

Though the Twitch livestreamer hasn’t announced her decision via social media, during a recent livestream she explains to her fans that she’s “not having a good time.” However, Pokimane’s negative feelings toward the server seem to be more geared towards the mechanics ofRustrather than the drama that the group has been experiencing.

Pokimane only offers a brief explanation of why she’s not having a good time inRust, a brutal survival game. She says that the game gets overwhelming: “It’s just too much and it’s not really fun. I’m sorry.” On her side Twitter account @imane, Pokimane comments that she might return toRustif “a new RP/PVE oriented server is out.” Though it’sRust’s PvP premisethat Pokimane seems to have a distaste for, fans feel that it’s possible her decision to leave has something to do with the xQc drama.

Only two days into the server’s creation,Twitch streamer Shroud pointed the finger at xQc, believing that he could “feel something bad happening,” and the negativity and controversy that often surrounds the Canadian streamer would ultimately lead to the server dying or xQc getting kicked from it.

While this may seem unprecedented, xQc has already lashed out at one smaller streamer within the server,Ash_on_lol, who has now received death threatsfrom xQc fans following a heated argument during a live session. The viewership is also fairly split as to whether or not xQc’s griefing is part ofRust’s PvP mechanic.

Because of these issues,Valkyrae ended her livestream to end earlyand the Twitch streamer has announced she will be more cautious with invites going forward, possibly even do a reset of theRustserver, if necessary. “I really enjoy the chaos and the PvP aspect of the game,” Valkyrae says in a now-deleted tweet, “but the way people are negatively interacting with each other is the issue.”

As of now, it looks like theRustserver is going to be split up. Abe of OfflineTV announced that a new, separate OfflineTV server will go live next week, but the original server will stay up for those focused on PvP competition, so there may still be some hope for Pokimane fans wanting moreRustcontent from her.
