Summary
A core element ofPokemon GO’s continued success is the vast amount of content that the game has received since its 2016 launch. There is always fresh research tasks and rewards that can change the way players engage with the title, greatly boosting interactivity and staving off boredom.
Pokemon GOrecently received some of its most interesting and unique research tasks for players to tackle in the Sightseeing and Studious Adventure pathways. With these new pathways, a player chooses between the two to unlock a related set of challenges and research tasks, allowing the player to reap rewards more efficiently depending on their preferred style of play.

Pokemon GO: Sightseeing Adventure Pathway
Both of these research pathways area part ofPokemon GO’s Adventure Week, which is jam-packed with unique limited-time content for trainers to explore. The ability to choose a pathway is only unlocked after players complete the first set of research tasks within the Adventures Near and Far quest, which should not take long at all for dedicated players.
As the name suggests, the Sightseeing Adventure pathway is tailored more for players who want to explore more of their local area throughout the challenge. The Sightseeing challenges concern things likespinning a number of unique PokeStops, catching Pokemon, walking set distances and hatching eggs. These challenges will see players earn tons of Stardust and XP, as well as set Pokemon encounters with Geodude, Amaura, Nosepass, Dwebble, Tyrunt, Diglett, and some Alolan variants of these Pokemon.

The Sightseeing Adventure pathway is the perfect choice for players who take a more active approach in thephysical exploration aspect ofPokemon GO. If a player is in an area with a good route of PokeStops and frequently racks up respectable travel distances, then the Sightseeing Adventure pathway is the way to go.
Pokemon GO: Studious Adventure Pathway
The Studious Adventure pathway is a fantastic alternative for players who believe they do not fit the profile of the Sightseeing Adventure quest-line. The required challenges and tasks for the Studious Adventure require less extended exploration, instead falling more in-line for players who have a greater affinity with the non-explorative mechanics ofPokemon GO.
For example, the Studious Adventure pathway requires players to do things likesend gifts to friends, walk less distances, catch and transfer a broader range of Pokemon, and complete unrelated Research Tasks. The rewards for the Studious Adventure are crucially identical to the Sightseeing Adventure rewards, with the only difference between the two being how these rewards are unlocked.
The Studious Adventure pathway is perfect for players who live in remote areas away from many PokeStops, but it of course still requires dedication and a lot of legwork to reap the benefits of the quest. This approach to an event-related questline has a huge amount of benefits, giving much more control and power to the player. By tuning the quest to their own playstyle, a much wider catchment of the community can get involved with the Adventure Week event, withcommunity being at the core of mostPokemon GOcontent.
The consistency of rewards between both pathways also eliminates a lot of unnecessary division, with the choice between what pathway a player should choose purely being down to personal gameplay preferences. While the potential playstyles ofPokemon GOare quite numerous, most players should easily be able to categorize themselves as better-fitting for either the Sightseeing or Studious Adventure pathways and their rewards.
