After months of waiting,Pokemon GOplayers finally got access to one of the most long awaited features of thePokemon Homeapp. Now, players can finallytransfer Pokemon fromGOtoHomeand also intoPokemon SwordandShield.

Unfortunately, seeing as the feature is still somewhat new, it’s not without its various flaws, bugs, and glitches. One of those glitches has to do with transferring regional variants of certain Pokemon fromPokemon GOtoPokemon Home. Thankfully, the Pokemon Company has now announced that a fix for this bug is currently in the works.

It goes without saying, but thePokemonseries has a ton of Pokemon included within its roster across all eight regions. As ofPokemon SwordandShield, there are currently around 932, depending on whether or not players count certain forms or variants of different Pokemon in the Pokedex. There are about 36Pokemon with regional variantsin thePokemonseries, which can be caught or hatched inPokemon GO. Sadly, it seems there is a bug withPokemon Homethat causes regional variant Pokemon to retain the movesets of their original counterparts.

To break it down, this means that if players were to transfer an Alolan Vulpix, which is a pure Ice type Pokemon, fromPokemon GOtoPokemonHome, there is a possibility that it will be given fire type moves due to Kantonian Vulpix’s pure Fire typing. As such, the moves that players have on their regional variant Pokemon may not be the same moves they had before the transfer. While it’s not a game breaking bug by any means, it’s definitely a pretty big inconvenience. Thankfully, the Pokemon Company is aware of the bug and is working to roll out a fix as soon as possible.

Apparently, the fix will automatically roll out in the coming weeks. According to reputablePokemonnews site Seribii.net, this means that player’s regional variant Pokemon inPokemon Homewill slowly have their move sets automatically fixed during the next few weeks. It seems like the fixes will come in waves, so players may have to wait quite a while before all of their regional variant Pokemon have their correct moves restored. The Pokemon Company has slowlybeen making improvements toPokemon Homesince its release, so it’s nice to see it maintaining the app with its new functionality.

On the other hand,Pokemon GOis also still a major success for the Pokemon Company as well. Recently, dataminers have discovered thefirst Generation 6 Pokemon inPokemon GO. These Pokemon should make their way to the game when the Season of Celebration begins on December 1. Hopefully, there won’t be any bugs involving these new Generation 6 Pokemon when transferring them toPokemon Home.

Pokemon GOis available on Android and iOS devices.
