This event proved to be an exciting opportunity for fans to bolster their Pokedex with new catches and prepare for 2024’s upcoming events.Pokemon GO’sJanuary 2024 Community Day will return to the traditional form of the monthly event with Rowlet at the forefront.

AnewPokemon GOblog postconfirms that Rowlet will be the featured Pokemon for the January 2024 Community Day event on Saturday, January 6, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. Rowlet will appear more often in the wild during the Community Day event, and players will have a greater chance of encountering a shiny variant of the Pokemon.Pokemon GOplayers who evolve Dartrix, Rowlet’s evolution, between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM will obtain a Decidueye that knows the Frenzy Plant Charged Attack. What’s more, Decidueye will be able to learn the Ghost-type Spirit Shackle move going forward. After thePokemon GOCommunity Day event concludes, four-star raid battles featuring Dartrix will appear around Gyms from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, offering additional Rowlet encounters for those who complete the raid battle.
Pokemon GO January Community Day Event
LikepreviousPokemon GOCommunity Day events, players may earn additional rewards like Stardust and Ultra Balls by completing the January Community Day event’s new Field Research tasks. A Community Day Special Research story for Rowlet will be available for $1.00 or one gift ticket. Additionally, multiple event bonuses will be active during the Community Day event, including 3x Stardust and 2x Candy for catching Pokemon, Lure Modules and Incense that lasts three hours, and an extra Special Trade. Players may also catch Smeargle after taking a snapshot inPokemon GOand earn additional rewards from PokeStop Showcases.
AlthoughRowlet and its evolutionsare the only featured Pokemon for the Community Day event, the event bonuses will yield many useful items and rewards for those who participate. Obtaining a shiny Rowlet will be even more fruitful for players since shiny Pokemon will likely be back in high demand for trades once the event ends.

Season 13 ofPokemon GOwill be active until March 1, and players can expect more information about future Community Day events once the Rowlet event concludes.
