November is well underway andPokemon GOtrainers have plenty to keep themselves busy as they count down the days to Black Friday and the holiday season. To kick off the month,Lugia is back in 5-star Battle Raidswith a powerful new move up for grabs and a full month of events is underway. In addition to the usual monthly activities, there are some special bonuses and features taking place right now.
One of the most exciting parts of the November event calendar for the mobile AR game is that there will be two Community Day events, but players should first focus on the Animation Week 2020 celebration that just kicked off. This event is a tie-in with the Pokemon Journeys animated series and features some exciting spawns and bonuses for players to enjoy November 6 through November 12. To provide a little extra motivation to login and check out the activities, there is also a timed research storyline full of exciting rewards for Pokemon GO players to power through before the week comes to a close.

TheAnimation Week 2020timed research storyline boasts ten parts (eleven counting the final step which is just claiming rewards) and could take players a handful of days to complete if they are working through the tasks at a casual pace. Most of the challenges are fairly self explanatory and the average player probably won’t have any trouble making it to the end of the list as long as they get started early and keep a close eye on which tasks they should currently be focusing on…
Battle in a Raid: 3 Revives
Give your Buddy 3 treats: 3 Razz Berries
Earn a heart with your Buddy: 5 Pinap Berries
Earn a Candy walking with your Buddy: 5 Nanab Berries
Use 3 Berries to help catch Pokemon: 3 Great Balls
Spin 3 PokeStops or Gyms: Croagunk (s)
Spin 3 PokeStops or Gyms: Piplup (s)
Claim Reward; 1,000 XP
Group Rewards: 500 Stardust, 1,000 XP, World Hat Pikachu (s)
Although there are no groundbreaking rewards or encounters up for grabs throughout this chain, players can makegood use of a Sinnoh Stoneand the Dragon Scale and some collectors will be excited about the World Hat Pikachu encounters. The storyline is well worth taking the time to complete, especially considering that nearly all of the tasks are just activities that players would be doing anyway as they long in and play throughout the week. If Animation Week 2020 ends up dropping any other surprises as the week progresses, we’ll be sure to post an update.
For now,Pokemon GOtrainers should be able to head out into the world (or play from home) and continue catchingthe best Unova Pokemon in the gameand getting closer to that complete Pokedex. Check back for morePokemon GOupdates closer to the event. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
