A creative fan ofPokemon Scarlet and Violethas recently shared another one of their original Paradox form concept artworks and this time, the spotlight is on the Ground-type Pokemon Trapinch. Inspired by the machines used in modern day construction, this artist’s version of Trapinch will likely be enjoyed byPokemon Scarlet and Violetfans who are also into heavy machinery.
Paradox forms inPokemon Scarlet and Violetare likely considered by the community as one of the most interesting features in the game. Given that only a handful of Pokemon have official Paradox forms, with some only being available either as Ancient or Future types, it is not surprising for the fan base to develop a significant fixation to the special forms. This fixation is further fueled by fellow artistic fans who continuously produce interesting designs and concepts of what other pocket creatures would look like if they had their own Paradox forms.

Sharing another one of theirPokemon Scarlet and Violetfan art pieceson Reddit, user HertzBurst posted several images of their conceptual Paradox form for Trapinch. According to the artist, the future Paradox form of the pocket creature is inspired by heavy machines used in construction such as excavators and cranes. The artist kept several of Trapinch’s original features like its orange body color, body shape, size, and bulbous head. However, fans will notice that HertzBurst seems to have robotized the Pokemon, giving its body a metallic sheen to complement its new excavator bucket attachments.
More images can be seen inthe artist’s Reddit post.
The artist also decided to name the Paradox form of the Ground-type “Iron Jaws,” which fans will likely appreciate as a nod to the Pokemon’s iconic large jaws. Fellow fans on the Reddit thread commented that they found the artist’s work really cool. Given that this is not the first time HertzBurst has madefanart ofPokemon Scarlet and VioletParadox forms, Redditors have come to expect the same level of high-quality artwork whenever the artist decides to share something new.
Even though most of HertzBurst’s fanart focuses on the future Paradox forms, some fans are hopeful that the artist will also produce Ancient Paradox forms of other Pokemon. SinceAncient and Future Paradox Pokemon inScarlet and Violethave extremely different looks and features, it is probably interesting for the community to see the artist’s take on each version. Hopefully they get inspired to make more of these pieces in the future.
