A talented and creativePokemonfan and artist is quickly amassing plenty of attention for drawing Unown in human form. While the continually mysterious Pokemon hasn’t been heavily featured in recently releasedPokemonmedia, the human form the artist has come up with has fans wanting more of Unown.
First introduced as part ofPokemon’s second generation, Unown is a Psychic-type Pokemon which have the appearance of English alphabet characters, although it is said to resemble some sort of ancient hieroglyphics. While it doesn’t evolve to or from any other Pokemon, Unown has 28 form differences, known as One form. While the Pokemon has thus far been entirely absent from the latest entries in the franchise,Pokemon Scarlet and Violet,Unown played a significant role in last year’sPokemon Legends: Arceus.

The impressive artwork of the human version of Unown comes from artist endifi, who posted their creation to one of Reddit’s primaryPokemonforums. Rather than creating a single rendition of the Psychic-type, the artist cleverly addresses all the forms of an Unown utilizing the dynamic of a mother and her children. The first drawing is of “Nown,” the mother of the Unown, and the second is of the children, each representing one of the forms that Unown can take. The mother cleverly integrates the Pokemon’s eyes into her dress and hair, including a lack of pupils of her own.
The children are cleverly executed as well, with each child’s hairstyle done in the form of one of the 28 possible characters, featuring a full spectrum of different emotions. The various human versions of Unown have clearly resonated with plenty of otherPokemonfans, as the new post has already amassed well over 2,000 upvotes at the time of writing. This isn’t the first attempt endifi has made with turning a Pokemon into a human, as the artist also recentlycreated a human version of Misdreavus, which has been equally well-received byPokemonfans on the site.
Creating human versions of different Pokemon has been the latest trend in the ever-producingPokemonfan art community, with the Unown being the latest example. Eevee and its various evolutions have been a popular subject, as are classics like Pichu and Togepi. Others have opted to create humans from more obscure Pokemon, like onefan who created a human version of Yanma.
Pokemonfans have been creative lately with showing their love for Unown, with another fan taking advantage of their original forms and makingan impressive custom Unown keyboard. With whatever form they happen to be in, the mysterious Unown continue to be a favorite among many longtimePokemonfans.
