Pokemon Brilliant DiamondandShining Pearlare the long-awaited remakes of the fourth generationPokemongames on the DS, and the reception to them has been positive overall. Whether it be familiar areas getting a new coat of paint to some reworked mechanics, many fans have been finding things to enjoy about the Sinnoh remakes. One of these reworked features isBrilliant DiamondandShining Pearl’s Grand Underground, an explorable area under the region of Sinnoh that has been expanded greatly for the updated games. A new distribution event will be running this holiday season, giving fans an opportunity to decorate their Secret Base with special statues.
One of the big things that has returned inPokemon Brilliant DiamondandShining Pearl’s Secret Basesthat can be built in the Grand Underground. This can only be built once players have found the Explorer’s Kit in Eterna City, along with meeting the Underground Man NPC. This particular NPC will give the player certain tasks to complete, which will give them the Digger Drill tool that will allow them to dig through the walls and create said Secret Base. From there, the Secret Base can be decorated with whatever players find.

One of the decoration options is special statues that can be placed in the Secret Base. These are used to affect the spawn rate of certaintypes of Pokemon while exploring the Grand Underground, with this being impacted by the Pokemon statue’s type and evolution stage. This distribution event will offer players the chance to get statues of Rhyperior, Electivire, Glaceon, Pachirisu, and Lucario, all of them being fan-favorite Pokemon that were introduced in Sinnoh.
Much like thecurrently running Starter Pokemon Statue Distribution event, this will give players the colored statue versions of these Pokemon. Much like the normal variations, these colored statues will boost the chance of encountering certain types of Pokemon based on what is placed. The colored variations, however, will provide double the effect that the statues would normally have in comparison.
For players who wish to get these statues, they must redeem the code throughPokemon Brilliant DiamondandShining Pearl’s Mystery Gift option. This can be found in the main menu, where upon selecting the option to receive a gift via code, players must enter the very fitting, “MERRYCHR1STMAS” code. Players have to be quick, however, as they only have until July 19, 2025 to obtain these statues.
