Here are the fates of every playable character inPersona 3.
9Shinjiro Aragaki
The Tragic Fighter Sacrifices His Life
Shinjiro Aragaki was one of the first members of S.E.E.S., alongside Mitsuru Kirijo and Akihiko Sanada. He fought against Shadows with the others until Shinjiro lost control of his powers and caused the death of Ken Amada’s mother. He quit S.E.E.S. for a time and became a delinquent, but ultimately returned to the team to help fight against the onslaught of Shadows.
One fateful night, Shinjiro is confronted by Ken over the death of his mother, only to be cornered by Takaya. Shinjiro sacrifices his life to protect Ken from Takaya, and dies while surrounded by his friends and comrades. Shinjiro’s deathis one of the most impactful scenes in the series, and has a large effect on the team as a whole.
8Ken Amada & Koromaru
The Youthful Avenger Leads a Mostly Normal Life
Ken Amada was the youngest member of S.E.E.S., being only an elementary school student during the events ofPersona 3. Alongside the dog Koromaru, he is one of the more unconventional members of S.E.E.S.
InPersona 4 Arena Ultimax, Ken is now a middle school student, living a normal life while helping out with occasional Shadow Operatives missions. He takes care of Koromaru and fights alongside him during the events ofUltimax. Though he remains loyal to his former S.E.E.S. comrades, he eventually decides to leave the Shadow Operatives to live a normal childhood.
7Aigis
The Robot With A Soul Continues to Fight the Shadows
An Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon, Aigis joins S.E.E.S. in their endeavors to defeat the Greater Shadows and investigate the mystery of Tartarus.Though she is a robot, she slowly becomes more human over the course of the series, gaining emotions and a soul by the end.
Persona 4 Arenareveals that Aigis has become a core member of Mitsuru Kirijo’s Shadow Operatives alongside Akihiko Sanada. The game features another Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon in the form of Labrys, and her relationship with Aigis is explored in both fighting games.
6Fuuka Yamagishi
The Soft-Spoken Navigator Hones Her Abilities
Fuuka Yamagishi is a quiet, unassuming girl who serves as the navigator for S.E.E.S. She goes missing when several of her bullies lock her in school overnight, causing her to be trapped in Tartarus. When she is rescued by S.E.E.S., her unique power pushes them to recruit her as quickly as possible.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimaxreveals that Fuuka is one of several reserve members of the Shadow Operatives. Her powers have continued to grow in strength even after the events ofPersona 3, outclassing the likes of fellow navigator Rise Kujikawa.
5Mitsuru Kirijo
The Ice-Cold Queen Of Execution Forms the Shadow Operatives
Mitsuru Kirijo is the heir of the Kirijo Group, the student council president of Gekkoukan High, and the leader of S.E.E.S.A born leader with a cool demeanor, Mitsuru is one of the most important members of S.E.E.S.
After graduating from Gekkoukan High, Mitsuru forms a new group: the Shadow Operatives, which is largely involved in hunting down Shadows and other problems involving Personas. Most of the team members are former S.E.E.S. members, with Mitsuru taking the role of leader once again.
4Akihiko Sanada
The Muscle-Minded Boxing Champ Fights Evil of Every Kind
Akihiko Sanada is one of the earliest members of S.E.E.S., and for a long time was the only one fighting the shadows alongside Mitsuru.A boxer with an obsession towards building his strength, Akihiko yearns to become strong enough to defeat any foe.
InPersona 4 Arena, Akihiko is revealed to have become a wandering fighter while also working as a member of Mitsuru’s Shadow Operatives. A TV program inPersona 5later hints that he became a police officer as well.
3Junpei Iori
The Eternal Goofball Helps Wherever He’s Needed Most
Junpei Iori was a normal high school student until he awakened to the power of Persona. While he is enthusiastic about becoming a member of S.E.E.S., he feels inadequate when compared to the other members, feeding his inferiority complex.
InPersona 4 Arena Ultimax, it is revealed that Junpei Iori has become a little league coach, while also being a reserve member of the Shadow Operatives. While he is still the goofball he has always been, Junpei will still run wherever he needs to be to help out his friends.
2Yukari Takeba
Taking Charge Of Her Own Fate To Become a Star
Yukari Takeba is one of the first people the main character meets during the events ofPersona 3. A seemingly normal girlwho is popular among the guys at Gekkoukan High, Yukari is a rookie member of S.E.E.S. who is searching for the true reason behind her father’s mysterious death.
After struggling with the protagonist’s death during the events of The Answer, Yukari eventually manages to move on with her life, becoming both a model and an actress in the role of Pink Argus, a character in the show Phoenix Ranger Featherman R. Her popularity in this role continues to the point that she is mentioned by name on TV inPersona 5.

The Ultimate Sacrifice
The quiet, apathetic protagonist ofPersona 3has a tragic past. A portion of Death was sealed into him during an incident that also caused the death of his parents, causing his powers to amplify beyond that of a normal human’s. He later joined S.E.E.S. and became its field commander, issuing orders while in combat against shadows.
During the final battle against Nyx,the protagonist sacrifices his life to save the world, dying peacefully in Aigis’s arms. It is revealed in The Answer that the protagonist serves as a barrier between the beings Erebus and Nyx, keeping the two from ever meeting.
