Summary

Overwatch 2is currently having some server issues due to the trial weekend of Juno, the new support hero coming in Season 12. Until these problems are resolved, players may have trouble logging in toOverwatch 2, and those who make it in may end up trapped in impossibly long queues, or otherwise disconnected after the fact.

Recently,Overwatch 2revealed Juno, the next playable character coming to the hero shooter. Formerly known as “Space Ranger,” Juno was first teased at BlizzCon 2023, where fans heard the first tidbits about the Martian astronaut. After a series ofclever hints peppered inOverwatch 2over the last few weeks, Juno was finally revealed – along with her early trial period, which began on July 19 at 11 AM PDT/2 PM EDT, and is planned to run for 72 hours.

However,Overwatch 2fans are having trouble actually getting to play Juno. Since the test period began, some players have been unable to reliably log into the game, with many being stuck on the loading screen. Those who are lucky enough to make it to the main menu have found themselves trapped in impossibly long queues as droves of players seek to try outOverwatch 2’s resident Martian, or even hit with a disconnect error. Until these issues are resolved, playingOverwatch 2will be difficult.

When Does the Overwatch 2 Juno Hero Trial End?

It is hard to say exactly what caused these problems. It could be the influx of players logging on to try the new hero, or some unforeseen issue caused by enabling Juno herself. At press time,Overwatch 2has already begun fixing its servers as quickly as it can. Hopefully,Overwatch 2can fully stabilize its servers soon so players can get the most out of the Juno playtest weekend.

Luckily, the trial for this new hero lasts until Monday, so as long as Blizzard can get its servers fully back in order, fans will still have the better part of three days to tryJuno’s unique ability set inOverwatch 2. If these issues do end up taking a while to fully resolve,Overwatch 2will ideally extend the Juno test by an extra day to make up for the lost time. In the meantime, players should be patient and keep trying to log on, as they will eventually be able to get into the game.

Either way,Overwatch 2’s new support herowill be fully added to the game in Season 12, currently planned to start on August 20. With luck, her official launch won’t be marred by server issues, and the second new hero of 2024 can land inOverwatch 2without incident.
