For the time being, theOne Pieceanime has turned its attention away from the Egghead to focus on other events happening around the world. In episode 1112, fans were treated to an animation spectacle as Shanks took on Eustass Kid. There was bad blood between the two, and many fans believed their next fight would settle things once and for all.
The battle occurred just outside Elbaf, where Kid and his crew were eagerly awaiting the opportunity to engage the Emperor of the Sea. As they drew closer to the island, Shanks' fleet began to surround Kid’s crew. Their actions greatly angered Kid, who only had eyes for Shanks. So, he decided to annihilate all the ships immediately. However, Shanks used his Future Sight to see the amount of damage Kid’s attack would do. The Emperor saw a horrible future, so he wasted no time rushing towards Kid and beating the young pirate with a single slash. After the conclusion of the fight, the focus shifted to Hachinosu, the base of the Blackbeard Pirates, which is about to become a warzone.

Koby was kidnapped by Blackbeard when the latter was on Amazon Lily. The Marine Captain had traveled to thehome of the Kuja Tribe, hoping to subdue Boa Hancock and put her behind bars. Koby had bought a lot of backup, which included Marines and two of the Seraphim. But even all of them together couldn’t take down the Pirate Empress.

The situation drastically changed when the Blackbeard Pirates arrived. Their captain wanted to take down Boa Hancock so that he could steal her Devil Fruit. Hancock tried her best to hold her own, but Blackbeard took advantage of the chaos and seized her. Everything pointed to an end for Hancock until Rayleigh stepped in. After negotiating for her release, Blackbeard went away and took Koby with him.

Being taken hostage by an enemy was bad news for Koby, especially when thatsomeone is an Emperor. Word traveled quickly, and many people were concerned about him. Helmeppo beseeched Prince Grus to rescue Koby, but he was not ready to take such a risk. It seemed that Koby would be stuck on Hachinosu forever, until Garp took matters into his own hands. He told Helmeppo to get ready, as they would save Koby from the clutches of Blackbeard.
While this is great news for Koby and his well-wishers, it doesn’t mean that they are guaranteed to win. After all, they will be laying siege to the territory of an Emperor. While no exact details have been revealed, it looks like Garp does not have too much backup. He will have to rely on the services of Hibari and Helmeppo, both of whom aren’t exactly super reliable options.
What Awaits The Marines At Hachinosu
The Ten Titanic Captains Are No Pushoevers
As the base for Blackbeard and his crew, Hachinosu is bound to have some of the Ten Titanic Captains, who must be overseeing the island in their admiral’s absence. It is worth mentioning that at least some of the Ten Titanic Captains are en route to Egghead Island, while others are with Blackbeard on Winner Island, fighting Trafalgar Law. It is highly likely thatKuzan, Avalo Pizarro, Vasco Shot, Shiryu, and Sanjuan Wolf are on Hachinosu, and they are more than capable of handling any incoming threat.
Kuzan vs. Garp would be particularly interesting to see, but it will only take place if the former is back from his mission on Whole Cake Island. The former Admiral was able to take down Charlotte Cracker, one of the Sweet Commanders, without little to no difficulty. However, it would be unwise to assume that Garp will go down as easily as Cracker.
Will The Rescue Be A Success?
The Mission’s Success Rests On Garp
The mission’s success rests on the shoulders of Garp. He is a legendaryMarine who has dueled with Gol D. Rogerin the past. Garp has many accomplishments to his name, but infiltrating Hachinosu will be one of his hardest tests to date, especially if he has no one to support him. While Garp is indubitably a strong character, he is past his prime. Furthermore, he will be outnumbered by the Ten Titanic Captains. There is a strong chance that all of them have consumedinsanely powerful Devil Fruits, which only adds to their threat.
Garp will likely have to fight most, if not all, of them by himself. This already puts him at a significant disadvantage, lowering the odds of a successful rescue. However, if he has some capable fighters accompanying him, then the odds improve a little. The Marines will not be able to win an all-out war, but they can attempt to take Koby and make a quick getaway. If they do that, they could leave Hachinosu with minimal casualties.
