Before Sanji’s arrival, the CP9 agent was getting ready to kill Usopp. With every passing second, the likelihood of Usopp’s death was increasing. It is extremely hard to overlook someone’s actions, especially when they cause harm. Throughout his childhood,Sanji was bullied by his brothersand his father. They treated him in the most inhumane ways possible, so Sanji should have been happy when the Big Mom Pirates were about to kill his family. Instead, he stepped in to save them from certain death.
Even Judge was surprised by Sanji’s actions, and he asked his son why he would do such a thing, especially after how they treated him. Sanji replied that his father would be sad. His response was simple yet powerful. It reminded Judge that he had lost his title completely. It also showed that Sanji couldn’t go against Zeff’s teachings, even if it meant laying aside his prejudices.

Sanji’s first opponent in Enies Lobby was Kalifa, and the Straw Hat could have easily won the fight. However, Sanji’s principles prevented him from hitting a woman. He reiterated that he would rather die in a duel than fight back.

Enel was the main villain of the Skypiea arc, and his powers made the people believe that he was a god. Throughout the arc, he demonstrated his strength, which backed up his claim. Even the Straw Hats were helpless before Enel’s might, but that didn’t stop them from trying to defeat him.
When Enel saw Usopp on Ark Maxim, he decided to execute him. If the villain had managed to connect his attack, Usopp would have died an excruciating death. Luckily for him,Sanji arrived in the nick of timeand kicked Usopp toward Nami. Sanji took the brunt of the attack and simply thanked Enel for lighting his cigarette.
Rallying His Friends
The Straw Hat Pirateshave faced many challenges in their journey so far, but they have successfully overcome all of them. In some situations, they had to be mentally resolute in order to survive. Sanji reminded Usopp that he is not useless and that he too can help the Straw Hats save Nico Robin from the clutches of CP9. This shows how the Straw Hats are different from the other crews.
The trust that they have in each other’s abilities is remarkable. Without Sanji’s words of motivation, Usopp might not have been able to fight, and without their sniper, the Straw Hats wouldn’t have been able to save Robin.
