One Piece1069 was jam-packed with incredible action and stunning callbacks to the Enies Lobby arc.With the CP0 finally making their move, fans expected Luffy and Rob Lucci to trade blows and that is exactly what ended up happening in the last chapter. Rob Lucci is one ofOne Piece’smost iconic antagonists and his fight with Luffy remains to be one of the very best that Oda has ever illustrated, if not the best.

While the previous chapter did not have a full-scale battle such as one that fans saw before the timeskip, it was certainly one that was entertaining.The Cipher Pol and the Marines are now in actionand all eyes are onOne Piece1070, which is just around the corner.
One Piece 1070: Luffy Vs. Rob Lucci Continues
In the previous chapter, fans sawLuffy’s Gear Fifth stateduring his fight against Rob Lucci. At the same time, Lucci revealed his awakened Cat Cat Fruit, which was nothing short of stunning. Luffy used the powers of Gear 5th to match Lucci in battle, and Oda did it to give more exposition about Devil Fruits and, specifically, the Devil Fruit awakening of Nika. While using this form, Luffy appeared to be in control throughout their fight and was easily overpowering Lucci without even trying. However, by the end of the fight, Lucci had recovered, thanks to the incredible toughness of the Zoan types, and struck a deadly blow to Sentomaru, one of the captains of the Special Science Group.
With Sentomaru having been severely injured, it is highly likely that Luffy will be angered once again. Lucci had already destroyed Atlas, who gave food to him and, now, the villain has struck a deadly blow to Sentomaru. As such, fans will most likely see the fight between Luffy and Lucci continue inOne Piece1070. This time, Luffy could show a bit more of his Devil Fruit arsenal and quite possiblydo serious damage to Lucci, even knocking him out of commission for good.
One Piece 1070: Seraphim On The Move
While One Piece 1070 will most certainly see Luffy in action once again, one of the most important aspects of the chapter isthe control of the Seraphims. Previously, Oda revealed the order of control of these beings. The highest order of control of the Seraphims belongs to the Gorosei, followed by Dr. Vegapunk and his bodies. After him, Sentomaru holds the highest degree of control and after him comes whoever holds the control chip. As fans know already, Sentomaru is now down, meaning the control will most likely fall to CP0. Lucci will seek aid from the Seraphims in his fight against Luffy inOne Piece1070, which will mean that the Straw Hat Pirates will have to jump into action sooner rather than later.

However, an interesting aspect here is that Vegapunk and all his bodies have a higher degree of control over the Seraphim bodies. And as seen in the previous chapter, Vegapunk is right in front of the Seraphims. This means that he could potentially turn the Seraphims against the CP0 once again, if he so wishes. If able to do that, the tides of the battle will turn against the CP0. If not, then the Straw Hat pirates will certainly have to aid Luffy and jump into action immediately.
One Piece 1070: Admiral Kizaru Arrives
One of the most interesting advancements in the previous chapter came towards the end when Sakazuki was seen talking to Navy officials. It seems that Kizaru is on the way to Egghead Island, along with a Navy Fleet, to back up the Cipher Pol in the fight against Luffy, who is now a massive threat given that he possesses the title of a Yonko. As such, it appears that a large-scale war is on the horizon and with Kizaru there, the fights will most likely only get even more intense. It is interesting to see, however, what Kizaru will do once he is on Egghead. While his mission is certainly to fight Luffy, he is also someone who is known to hold a connection to Sentomaru.
The latter refers to Kizaru as his uncle, although this is only out of respect. Now that Sentomaru was severely injured by Lucci, it is possible that Kizaru will not hold back against the Cipher Pol. That said, it isn’t his personality to act on his emotions. In fact, Kizaru always gets his duty done, and, for that reason, it is likely for him to brush off Sentomaru’s injury and continue the fight against Luffy and his group. Vegapunk will be in severe danger, after all, he is the primary target. However, with Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates protecting him, he will most likely escape the island with his life intact.

Sadly,One Pieceappears to be on a break next week. This means that the next chapter of the series will not be published in the upcoming issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.One Piece1070 will release on June 08, 2025, according to the MangaPlus and the Shounen Jump apps and fans can read them there for free.
