One of the rarest Shaders inDestiny 2is available for purchase from an in-game vendor after being relegated to the infamous Destiny Content Vault for years. Shaders have been an integral part ofDestiny’s cosmetic customization, allowing players an extra layer of control over their Guardians through the sheer power of looking cool while shooting enemies and casting abilities. As these colorful cosmetics are almost universally applicable to any gear in the game, thefashion enthusiasts ofDestiny 2are always looking out for rare and unique ones to pop up.
Like most of the gear inDestiny 2, Shaders also have various in-game sources, with several rarer ones being locked behind challenging gameplay activities such as going Flawless in Trials of Osiris or completing an entire raid without suffering a player’s death. Most of these unique cosmetic items stay available for players to acquire, even after the associated seasonal activities are cycled out for newer ones. Yet the Shaders that reside inDestiny 2’s controversial Destiny Content Vault, or DCV for short, have remained unavailable for the last two years, much to the charging of many-a fashion-minded players and collectors of rare items.

Listening to these passionate community members, Bungie has decided to reintroduce items from the DCV to the game inLightfalland beyond, with several rare Weapon skins and older Shaders available via Eververse andDestiny 2’s Playlist Activities. A Reddit user called banter_boy posted on the titular social media site that Ada-1 is selling the Bergussian Night, a Shader that hasn’t been seen sinceSeason of the Forgeand its associated content entered the DCV. The item will remain on Ada-1’s inventory for the entire week, and players who wish to buy it can find her in the Tower Annex.
Several players have mentioned that even during theSeason of the Forge, Bergussian Night was quite difficult to chase down, as the Shader was only acquired by dismantling Curated Weapons from Forge activities or Scourge of the Past Raid. Several players have also noted the irony of Ada-1 selling this particular Shader, as she was the central character inSeason of the Forge. More importantly, the appearance of this cosmetic opens up the possibility of other rare Shaders showing up in the future andreducing the FOMO that manyDestiny 2players experience.
Season of Defianceis currently serving as a blessing for the fashion-minded Guardians, asDestiny 2introduced an all-black Shaderthis season, causing quite the commotion. With so many rare cosmetics showing up every week, players will be vigilant on upcoming weekly resets for more rare finds.
Destiny 2is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
