Nintendoand Oreo are teaming up once again, this time for a batch of cookies themed after Princess Peach of theSuper Mariofranchise. The worlds of gaming and cookies have crossed paths a few times before, with one example beingthe limited editionPokemonOreoslaunched back in 2021. As things tend to go withPokemoncollectibles, scalpers soon began reselling the rarest of the Oreo designs for heavily inflated prices online.

Due to the success of thePokemonpromotion, Nintendo announced another partnership with Oreo earlier this year, this time to commemorate one of the Japanese gaming giant’s otherblockbuster franchises:Super Mario. Starting last month, fans could purchasespecial-editionMario-themed Oreosmodeled after series mainstays like Luigi, Bowser, Toad, Yoshi, and even Mario himself. One character was notably absent from this line-up though, as the marketing for the Nintendo/Oreo’s interactive promotion claimed that Princess Peach had been kidnapped by the nefarious Bowser once again.

At least, until the latest announcement from Nintendo and Oreo, where it was revealed that thepink-clad ruler of the Mushroom Kingdomwill be getting her own line of special edition cookies. The Princess Peach x OREOiD Pack will be offered as a prize to 5,000 lucky fans as part of a new contest, and comes with four unique Oreo cookies dipped in white fudge and covered in brightly colored sprinkles. They are also marked with designs of Princess Peach, her famous Mushroom Castle, and her crown. So far, there is no word on when this contest is supposed to begin.

Whether she’s helping Mario save the Mushroom Kingdom or taking part in the latest round ofMario KartorSuper Smash Bros, Princess Peach is nearly as synonymous with theMariofranchise as the famed plumber himself. The last few years have been especially exciting for fans of Peach, as she is set to star in her own spin-off game on top of appearing inSuper Mario Bros. Wonder and theupcoming remake ofSuper Mario RPG.

Princess Peach was absent fromNintendo’s last Oreo promotion due to being kidnapped by Bowser, but she is making up for it in full with this limited-edition line of decorated cookies. The contest for these special-edition Princess Peach cookies doesn’t seem to be active yet as of this writing, so hungryNintendoshould keep their eyes peeled for a chance to win them.
