In just one day, fans will be able to watch theMs. Marvelfinale where Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan is expected to finally put on her superhero costume. To build hype for the upcoming episode, Marvel Studios has released a new clip from the final episode of the Disney Plus series, which features Kamala revealing her big secret to the Khan family. Little does she know that it wouldn’t be as big a reveal as she thought.
In her journey throughMs. Marvel, Kamala managed to keep her identity a secret for the first few episodes. However, after the Clan Destine was introduced, people close to Kamala slowly began to learn of her magical powers. While her best friend Bruno Lintz was in on the secret from the beginning, after Kamala’s first face-off with the villains, Nakia Bahadir finds out that she is in fact “Night Light” who has been masquerading as the “budget Captain Marvel.” Kamala’s mother and grandmother discovered the truth in Karachi, but the rest of the Khan family was clueless, until now.

The newMs. Marvelclip begins with Kamala trying to grab her family’s attention while they look over the gifts that her mother Muneeba has brought back from Karachi. “I have an announcement to make,” she states, followed by an awkward apology for not revealing the secret earlier, ruining her brother Aamir’s wedding, and “sneaking out to AvengerCon.” At her mother’s insistence, she finally arrives at the big reveal, “I am the light girl.”
As she raises her hand to display her powers, Aamir interrupts her and asks to clarify what she means. “Night Light,” she whispers, obviously not pleased with the name. It seems like she still hasn’t settled on Ms. Marvel as her title, and perhaps that reveal is yet to come. Turns out that her family is already aware of her true identity though, as Muneeba was unable to keep the secret. “I only told Abbu really,” she justifies, but as Aamir points out, the “classic Khan gossip train” has left the building. “You tell Ammi, she tells Abbu, and we overhear because he always has his phone on speaker,” he tells Kamala, an entirely relatable scenario for many viewers.
With just one episode to go inMs. Marvel, the series has a lot to wrap up. Kamala hasn’t picked her superhero name yet or worn her costume. In the comics, Bruno helps her put the costume together. It remains to be seen if the series stays true to the comics in that sense. The series has already droppedhints of Kamala’s Ms. Marvel costumethrough the episodes, bringing it together piece by piece, with the mask given to her by Bruno, the red sash by Red Dagger, the blue vest by Waleed, and the lightning bolt logo inspired by her broken necklace, gifted by her mother.
