While changes to multiplayer abound,Modern Warfare 3’s Zombies modereceived quite a bit of attention in this new update. Numerous changes have been made to Zombies' Dark Aether Rift, with teamwork being prioritized now more than ever. All squads can now contribute to Zombie kills during Relic Attunement, with the kill requirements being decreased overall. Several bugs inModern Warfare 3Zombies were also fixed, such as a bug that caused the final obelisk to activate earlier than intended, as well as fixes for reload animations and Wonder Weapon displays.

Modern Warfare 3players will notice that several updates to multiplayer have also been made, including changes to the Escort game mode as well as thefan-favoriteCall of Dutymap Skidrow. Poor performance of the game mode has been fixed, as has the match timer and the lights located on the MAW, which previously disappeared during matches. Other issues addressed in this new update include fixes for Hardcore Quick Play, which no longer mistakenly displays the “Free Trial” tag. Weekly Challenge countdowns will no longer display an invalid time during the midseason update. Other visual improvements include fixing an issue involving overlapping weapon images on the HUD when players had two different melee weapons equipped. Modern Warfare 3’s Season 3 is over halfway finished at the time of this update, with both multiplayer andWarzoneplayers expecting the reveal of Season 4 to take place later this summer. However, things are also heating up outside ofModern Warfare 3, with Treyarch’s nextCall of Dutyentry believed to be a major part of Xbox’s upcoming June showcase.
