Ninja clans inNarutoare groups that consist of several shinobi, all of which possess similar attributes in fighting and, in some cases, the same Kekkei Genkai. Ninja clans have existed in theNarutoworld long before even the shinobi villages came to be.

During the Warring States Era, every clan fought for itself and wanted to gain supremacy over the others, however, in a ninja village, a clan became a basic unit that laid the foundation for the village to exist. While some clans inNaruto, such as the Uchiha and the Senju are very well known, other strong ones don’t get nearly as much recognition.
8Kaguya Clan
Kaguya Clan is an ancient clan that no longer exists in the story, however, they were once known to be a menace. It is believed that this clan descended from Kaguya Otsutsuki, the progenitor of chakra on earth.
As such, they inherited her ability to manipulate the bone structure andthis became their Kekkei Genkai, also known as Shikotsumyaku. The Kaguya clan’s last known survivor was Kimimaro and he died due to his illness during the Sasuke Retrieval arc.
7Aburame Clan
One of Konohagakure’s strongest, the Aburame clan is known to be extremely underrated. This clan specializes in making use of insects that feed on chakra and help their owners in battle.

Shino, one of their strongest members, was strong enough to fight even the likes of Kankuro despite nobody thinking he’d have the skill to pull it off. The Aburame clan’s abilities are extremely dangerous. Sadly, they don’t get as much attention in the story.
6Hyuga Clan
The Hyuga clan is known to be one of the mightiest clans in theNarutoworld yet the story rarely focuses on them. The Hyuga are known to be the noblest clan in Konohagakure and their strength is something extremely impressive as well.
Their power of the Byakugan makes them extremely special as this Kekkei Genkai allows them to see through anything and grants a near 360° vision as well. Over the years, the Hyuga have produced some of the greatest shinobi in the story, such asNeji and even Hanabi Hyuga.
5Sarutobi Clan
The Sarutobi clan was one of the very first clans to join Konohagakure after its formation. This clan is known to be a strong believer in the Will of Fire and that’s why some of the most incredible shinobi, such asSasuke Sarutobi and Hiruzen Sarutobi, have come from this clan.
Although not as strong as the likes of the Uchiha, the Sarutobi clan members are quite skilled, especially in Fire Release techniques. Furthermore, they’re incredibly balanced ninjas and possess large reserves of chakra which help them out massively in battle.
4Chinoike Clan
The Chinoike clan is a near-extinct clan that once existed in the Land of Water in theNarutoworld. Although very little of them have been shown to the fans, the Chinoike clan has some extremely powerful members whose specialty is the Kekkei Genkai known as the Ketsuryugan. This Kekkei Genkai Dojutsu allows them totrap people in a genjutsu on skin contactand even made their bodies explode.

What’s more, Ketsuryugan users have the power to manipulate any liquid with a high concentration of iron, making them incredibly dangerous. Their strength is such that their Kekkei Genkai is considered to be comparable to the Three Great Dojutsu.
3Yamanaka Clan
The Yamanaka Clan is one of the most important clans in Konohagakure and they serve a hugely important function that no other clan can. The members of the Yamanaka Clan are known to be extremely adept when it comes to sensor-type abilities.
As such, they’re responsible for maintaining the Berrier Defence of the village and this is a job they’ve been doing for ages now. The Yamanaka Clan is quite powerful and their ninjutsu makes for excellent support in battle. Although they’re not the strongest, they certainly deserve more credit than they get.
2Nara Clan
The Nara Clan is an incredibly special clan known to be filled with shinobi who possess tremendous intelligence. Their former leader, Shikaku Nara, was one of the smartest men in the entire story, if not the smartest. His son, Shikamaru, had an I.Q of over 200 before the age of 14.
The Nara Clan members are also known fortheir Hiden ability to manipulate shadowsin combat which makes them extremely dangerous. While they do lack raw strength, they make up for it with their brains.
1Akimichi Clan
The Akimichi Clan is just as important as the Yamanaka and the Nara clans of Konohagakure and together, the three form the Ino-Shika-Cho trio. The Akimichi Clan is quite special and they make use of their massive size in battle to the fullest.
Out of all the three clans of Ino-Shika-Cho, the Akimichi possess the highest strength. Their powers are further boosted by their butterfly transformation, as seen when Choji fought the Gedo Statue during the Fourth Great Ninja War using its powers.
