MultiVersus, the newmassively-popular platform brawlerby Player First Games, has a lot of cosmetics for players to peruse. There are unique “Variant” skins for characters, Badges, Ring Out VFX, Taunts, Stickers, and more.

But, one of the cosmetics that will find the most use is the Announcer Packs. Forjust 100 Gleamium(around 90 cents), players can purchase Announcer Packs for almost every character. With these packs, the character’s VA will perform unique voice lines for the character selection screen, getting KO’s in a match, taking the lead in a teams game, and more. WhichMultiVersusAnnouncer Pack seems to be the best, at least so far?

15Garnet

Sadly, Garnet is at the bottom of this list, which is a shame because she’s such a cool character with a unique voice (thanks to her VA being the acclaimed Estelle). But her calm speech, chill tone, and deadpan delivery actually work against her as an Announcer, and she feels like she adds less to the game than the default announcer does.

14Steven Universe

The line reading in Steven’s Announcer Pack is great, but it doesn’t really matter since this isn’t Steven’s original VA. Zach Callison, Steven’s VA since the beginning of the show, has taken a step back from the limelight for a while now to focus on his mental health and wellness.

That’s completely understandable, andMultiVersusVA Daniel DiVenere does a great job of making the character his own. However, fans of the character will always be able to tell.

13Superman

Superman may be the most “white bread” choice a player could make for their Announcer. As a playable character, Superman has a lot going for him, especially for beginners, but who would ever pick him as their announcer?

Choosing Superman would be like having the optionto choose the Announcer inSmash Ultimatefrom the 89 possible characters, and choosing Mario. Still, in terms of his lines and delivery as the Announcer, George Newbern does a fantastic job.

12Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman is also a pretty tame pick for an Announcer, even though she has a more memorable voice and cadence to the way she speaks. VA Abby Trott has played Wonder Woman in both theJustice LeagueandJustice League Unlimitedanimated series, and her experience shows.

Trott has a subtle way of showing how different Diana is to those around, enunciating her sentences as and avoiding using contractions. But at the end of the day, Wonder Woman is just a bit tame in the actual context of her lines.

11Batman

Of all the DC Heroes, Batman’s Announcer pack is assuredly the best value for the Gleamium spent. Kevin Conroy is a renowned VA for the Caped Crusader, originally voicing him in the 1992 animated series, so having him return for this game and be an option as the Announcer is a huge plus.

Unlike Superman or Diana, Batman puts some “tang” on his lines for when a team is defeated. Superman gives the classic “You’ll get them next time,” but Batman’s “Sorry, you lose” is harsher and more memorable.

10Velma

Kate Micucci, Velma Dinkley’s VA in many of theScooby-Dooanimated series, has become the “iconic” voice for the character. As an Announcer inMultiversus, every line Velma utters gives off that same “um, actually” intellectual tone.

The lines are on-brand, the delivery is perfect, and this Announcer Pack is a must-buy for any Velma player orScooby-Doofan. Plus, it’s always funny seeing Velma’s voice line interactions with Steven Universe, considering Kate Micucci voices a prominent side character in that show, Sadie Miller.

9Lebron James

Nowit’s time to talk about Lebron James, the real-life man himself who made it intoMultiVersus. Funnily enough, Lebron doesn’t voice himself in the game; rather it’s John Bentley, the voice behind several beloved characters. Lebron’s Announcer Pack is worth getting simply because Bentley’s voice is so soothing.

Not that Lebron can’t act or voice act, but Bentley is more experienced in the field and does a lot to make this Pack worth it. For anyone that has heard Lebron’s interactions with other characters in-game, the Announcer Pack is of similar quality, but a bit less memorable.

8Arya Stark

Maisie Williams has absolutely earned a higher ranking for her Announcer lines as Arya Stark. While the actual words in the lines aren’t anything too interesting (no references, jokes, etc.), the delivery is what makes Arya’s Announcer Pack worth the cost.

Maisie puts a lot of emotion into the few lines each Announcer Pack has. She makes it perfectly sound like Arya is excited about a player’s victory, or surprised at their defeat.

7Harley Quinn

Harley Quinn is assuredly one of DC’s more popular characters in the last few years. InMultiVersus, this proves to be true as well for Ms. Quinzel as her Announcer Pack is a great buy.

Harley is a jokester, so of course, her Announcer lines will have a bit more of a jovial tone to them. Additionally, the delivery is perfect, as one would expect from the iconic Tara Strong. Lastly, her lines are also relatively unique, straying a bit from the standard “Choose your character,” “You won,” or “You lost.”

6Shaggy

The Super Saiyan ofMultiVersus, Mr. Norville Rogers, is more lovingly known as Shaggy. Shaggy’s voice is probably one of the more iconic ones out there as far as cartoon characters are concerned, and a lot of this is due to his fantastic VAs (and live-action actors) like Matthew Lillard, who voices him here.

Shaggy’s lines all have the overuse of “like” that Shaggy is known for. They’ve got his emotion and tone on them, and they’re always energetic. All around, this pack makes for a great and funny choice.
