Escape from Tarkovhas recently exploded in popular during the last few weeks, thanks in no small part to live streaming platforms like Twitch and Mixer. While the game is currently in beta and is only available for purchase through the game’s official website, the developers arecurrently looking into a Steam releasefor the title. Right now, access to the beta through the standard edition of the game costs $44.99.

However, the standard edition is not the only way to jump intoEscape from Tarkov. The game currently has three other editions that players can purchase, each with their own variety and amount of special perks. One of those helpful perks is a container known as the Gamma container, which is an invaluable piece of gear that allows players to carry house equipment that will be kept no matter what.

How to Get the Gamma Container

Currently, the easiest and possibly only way for players to get the Gamma Container inEscape from Tarkovis by purchasing the Edge of Darkness limited edition of the game. The Edge of Darkness comes with an enormous variety of extra equipment forTarkov, like a Tactical Tomohawk, a Kiver Helmet, an SV98 Sniper Rifle with a loaded mag, and, of course, the Gamma Container.

For those who may not know, containers are pieces of gear inEscape from Tarkovthat allow players to hold extra gear on their character. However, the containers are special because gear inside the container will remain on a player’s character permanent, even if the player died and did notextract from a raid successfully.

About Containers

Containers are an extremely rare and valuable gear inEscape from Tarkov. For those wonder what exactly isEscape from Tarkov, it’s an FPS MMO-like game with PVP elements. Players enter raid maps to complete quests, gather better loot, and extract from the raid. Extracting from a raid allows players to keep any gear they find during a raid. However, dying during a raid cause any gear found and brought into a raid to be lost from that character permanently.

Containers allow players to keep a certain amount of gear regardless. For example, the Gamma Container’s 3x3 grid could allow for certain med kits, or even a small firearm and some extraammo, that players can splitinto multiple stacks. Alternatively, players can put extremely valuable loot in a container and keep it no matter what, provided that the gear fits into the container’s limited space.

There are a handful of other types of containers currently inEscape from Tarkov, like the Beta and Alpha Containers, but a guaranteed method to find other containers is not fully clear. As mentioned before,Escape from Tarkovrecently rose to popularity due to live streaming platforms and streamers. Though Twitch recently offered a promotion for free loot for the game, other continuallygrowing platforms like Mixer and Facebook Gamingare givingEscape from Tarkovexposure, as well.
