The latest update from Arrowhead continues the trend of providing fixes forHelldivers 2connection and server related issues. As expected, the major focus of this latest update is the continued improvement to the servers through fixing crashes and server optimizations. Arrowhead also made additional improvements to matchmaking, with optimizations made to the filter system when searching forHelldivers 2lobbies, removing full ones from the list. Visual progression indicators were also added to Major Order Defend Events, allowing players to see how close or far they are from completing it.
This latest update follows on the heels of anotherrecentHelldivers 2updatejust a few days ago including a fix that addressed server capacity log-in issues, progression related problems, and authentication error requests. The update went along way to quelling the player unrest, as Helldivers 2 quickly became one of Steam’s top selling games and it’s user rating moving up from Mixed to Mostly Positive thanks to the server improvements..
Alongside the continued support to ensure a smooth experience for players, Arrowhead’s CEO Johan Pilestedt has been very active on social media, responding to questions and keeping fans updated on what the studio is up to. Recently, Pilestedt spoke about the idea ofmicrotransactions and defending their use inHelldivers 2. While there is premium currency and a permanent battle pass available for purchase for those who want it, Pilestedt confirmed that the studio really focused on not making anything pay to win and even added “Super Credits” to missions where players could simply earn them by playing as an alternative to paying for them in the shop.
