Following theHalo Infinitetechnical preview that took place earlier this summer, data miners were able to find a lot of information regarding the finalized release of the game. As leakers have looked deeper intoHalo Infinite’s code, they’ve discovered a new, highly requested feature that’s likely coming toHalo: a photo mode.
This leak comes from Twitter user @NewHaloLeaks who has been providing leaked information on the game since August 9. A word of caution for those looking to check out the account: there are plenty ofHalo Infinitecampaign spoilersposted alongside gameplay information and the newly discovered photo mode.

The inclusion of a photo mode in video games has very quickly risen in popularity due to just how pretty games have become over recent years. It makes sense then, given how goodrecent footage ofHalo Infinitelooks, that the title would feature a photo mode of its own.
According to @NewHaloLeaks, the photo mode will be pretty deep, allowing players to add things like camera filters, stickers, borders, and additional text to their photos. Unfortunately, the leak doesn’t say anything about how much the in-game camera will resemble a real one.Recent AAA titles have set the bar pretty high when it comes to photo modesallowing players to adjust things like aperture, exposure, and other important elements to make the most out of the in-game camera.
It also doesn’t say whether or not the photo mode will allow players to adjust the camera position or if it’ll be confined toHalo Infinite’s first-person perspective. Certain games have allowed the camera to fly around for maximum control, however, recent first-person titles with photo modes likeResident Evil Villagedidn’t allow for the camera to be moved out of the first-person perspective. Based on the cinematic nature of theHalofranchise, it’s likely that players will be able to move the camera.
