With Version 3.0 less than 24 hours away,Genshin Impactis gearing up for one of its biggest content updates yet. The new version will introduce the game’s fourth major region inthe rainforest nation of Sumeruand will bring with it the introduction of the game’s final element, Dendro. Version 3.0 of HoYoVerse’s massively popular RPG will also bring with it a trio of new characters with the newest five-star character, Tighnari, being its first playable Dendro character. Now, HoYoVerse has shown off the gameplay for Tighnari just hours before his release.

Genshin Impact’s newest “Character Demo” trailer titled “Tighnari: Plant Patrol” introduces fans to the leader of Sumeru’s Forest Rangers, showing off both his inquisitive personality and his gameplay. Tighnari’s Elemental Skill features him throwing the orb he carries around, dealing AoE Dendro damage to enemies and taunting them. The trailer also shows off Tighnari’s Elemental Burst, firing a rain of Dendro arrows that not only deal damage to enemies but also can track their location.

The combat-focused segments of Tighnari’s gameplay trailer also tease several of the new enemiesGenshinplayers will find within Sumeru. Version 3.0 will introduce several elemental variants to the Floating Hydro Fungus enemies first introduced in The Chasm. The trailer also shows off the larger variant of the already existing Hydro Fungi enemies with the Grounded Hydroshroom duringTighnari’s Elemental Burstshowcase.Genshin Impact’s newest update is also set to introduce two new world bosses to the game with the introduction of the Electro Regisvine and the Jadeplume Terrorshroom.

Tighnari looks to be a notable release forGenshin Impact’s roster for more than just his gameplay. As previously mentioned, Tighnari and Collei, releasing alongside him, will be the first playable characters fromGenshin Impact’s seventh element, Dendro. Version 3.0 will be introducing a suite of new elemental reactions for Dendro with Hydro, Electro, and Pyro. Tighnari was also confirmed to bejoiningGenshin Impact’s standard bannerafter his banner’s conclusion, making him the first five-star character added to the game’s permanent rotation since its launch.

With the release of its newest region,Genshin Impacthas plenty coming for fans of the massive RPG, both now and later on. Alongside the lead-up to the release of Version 3.0,Genshin Impactrecently revealed splash artsfor its next set of characters to join the game in Version 3.1. Leaks have also teased future content planned forGenshin Impactthroughout the coming updates, including a permanent TCG mini-game as well as the return of fan-favorite character Scaramouche.Genshin Impactwill look to maintain its strong momentum as the game approaches its second anniversary.
