AGenshin Impactfan has created an interesting chart that divides the game’s playable roster by the number of Normal Attacks they can perform in their combos. Almost every character in the game has the ability to perform a couple of attacks in their Normal Attack sequence, each of which has different damage scaling.

The offensive part of the kit for every character inGenshin Impactcan be divided into three main parts: Elemental Skill, Elemental Burst, and a third part that includes Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks. Normal Attacks can be performed anytime during a fight and don’t require any resources like Energy or Stamina Points.

A Redditor by the name -average-reddit-user has created an unusual chart that ranks characters by their Normal Attack sequence. The only character in the game that has just one hit in their Normal Attack combo isLiyue’s Geo user Ningguang. She is a four-star catalyst character and one of the oldest units on the roster. At the time of her release, Ningguang used to be one of the best DPS characters in the game, but the releases of newer and more complex characters have slowly pushed her out of the meta. The recent addition of the new Dendro element has probably made Geo by far the weakest offensive element in the game.

The 3-hit category mainly consists of catalyst users with a few exceptions like the three Sumeru characters Nilou, Dori, and Layla. The catalyst is the only weapon in the game that allows players to apply elemental damage with their Normal Attacks which means that they can have decent DPS potential. The recently released five-star character Wandereris by many considered the best Anemo DPS character in the game at the moment.

According to the chart, there are only six characters in the game that have a 6-hit Normal Attack combo. One of them is the popular five-star Pyro user Hu Tao who is currently available on the Limited Character Banner alongside the Hydro bow character Yelan. Recent revenue reports have confirmed that this double banner will probablybreakGenshin Impact’s overall revenue record, even though it does not include any new characters.

Hu Tao is a unique DPS characterwith a very specific kit that can take some time to get used to, especially for new players. Players need to constantly keep Hu Tao’s HP under 50% to significantly increase her DPS potential on the field.

Genshin Impactis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
