AGenshin Impactplayer has noticed a bug that makes a young NPC known as Teucer, who is introduced in Liyue, repeat dialogue multiple times. Though this bug persists, there have been many bugs fixed along the course of theGenshin Impactroadmap, with the most recent patch being 3.1 which fixed The Eremites' sand scattering ability and more.
Reddit user Hex_code_seven recently shared a video of theirGenshin Impactadventure in which Teucer is introducing himself as he normally would in the game, but he gets stuck on the introductions.Genshin Impactplayers will normally help Teucer with a tour quest that requires them to guide him to the Wanmin Restaurant and to visitTreasure Hoardersbefore battling some Fatui recruits. Because of the bug experienced by Hex_code_seven, this quest couldn’t get started in their playthrough, and the player likely had to exitGenshin Impactsimply to stop the dialogue loop.

Hex_code_seven’s clip begins with Teucer bending an arm to scratch the back of his head as he explains that he traveled from theGenshin Impactlocation of Snezhnayain search of his brother, with his body language being a clear indicator of the looped dialogue. As theGenshin Impactplayer clicks for the next dialogue option, Teucer says the same exact line, but this time he’s outstretching an arm before returning it to the same position as before. This action repeats a few more times as theGenshin Impactplayer tries in vain to continue the conversation, with the glitched Liyue NPC never getting to the following line.
While it’s uncommon forGenshin Impactplayers to come across bugged NPCs in the vast open world of Teyvat, some other fans have noted similar experiences with Paimon and in the Sumeru Archon Quest, Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual, and the Sumeru festival quests. Considering that multipleGenshin Impactplayers have noted coming across this specific bug with Teucer on Hex_code_seven’s post, it’s currently unclear how long it will take for the NPC to be fixed.Genshin Impact3.2kicks off on November 2, and it brings with it plenty of content and fixes of its own, which may include an adjustment to this Teucer dialogue bug.
Though severalGenshin Impactplayers expressed the urgency of helping Teucer with his family in the tour quest, some pointed out issues with otherdialogue withGenshin ImpactNPCs, and one fan had some critical words for characters introduced through helping the NPC. ManyGenshin Impactfans utilized Hex_code_seven’s Reddit post to continue repeating the same line from Teucer that was looped in the clip, while one noted that the sequence came off as anti-dialogue skipping protection.
