Dragon’s Dogmaturned 10 back in May, with many fans hoping that Capcom would use this anniversary to officially announceDragon’s Dogma 2. The game was part of the huge Capcom leak a while back, and it seems Capcom has teased it a time or two over the past few weeks. After not appearing at Capcom’s main event, it finally did appear at theDragon’s Dogmaanniversary showcase.
Unfortunately, still, not much was shown. Capcom confirmedDragon’s Dogma 2was in development, revealed a title card for it, and confirmed it was using RE Engine, but that’s about it. There was no trailer or story hints for the game, perhaps suggesting it is still a couple of years out. For those who haven’t played the first game, which is a highly recommended open-world RPG, or are wanting to replay the first game, this means there’s plenty of time to check it out.

Whether someone intends to play it now or add it to a never-ending backlog, there’s not a better time to pick upDragon’s Dogmaon PC, PlayStation, or Xbox than right now.

Until June 23,Dragon’s Dogmais discounted by 85% nearly across the board. On Steam, PlayStation Store, and Microsoft, it is discounted to about $5. Since the game still currently retails at $30, despiteDragon’s Dogmabeing 10 years old, it’s a good bit of money saved. And there’s plenty of reason to pick it up now.
Dragon’s Dogmahas a huge cult following, and it would seem a decade after the game’s original launch, fans have will its sequel into existence. That’s saying something. For those looking for something toplay after beatingElden Ring,Dragon’s Dogmais a content-packed open-world RPG. It features a playtime of 35-40 hours, with those looking to get all the trophies/achievements looking at over 100 hours.
For those unfamiliar with it,Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisenfeatures a rewarding combat system, assisted by AI companions known as Pawns. These companions stand out from many other games, with unique features such as borrowing another player’s Pawns. Players will be cutting off the heads of a hydra, fighting on the back of griffins, and otherwise exploiting monster weaknesses in terms of gameplay and combat—something perhaps moreakin toMonster Hunterbut perfectly fit into a more traditional RPG.
Dragon’s Dogmais an easy recommendation at $30, so at $5 it’s an absolute must-play.
