A Reddit user who goes by xzebia voiced their concern for the community after discovering two players who randomly walk into the ocean and die. As seen in the video, xzebia interacts with two different player phantoms and then watches as they both jump into the water for no apparent reason, which a lot of people in the comments find strange but fun.There are plenty of sudden deaths inElden Ring, but this one might top all others so far in oddity.
Some people in the comments assume that players could have done this to get rid of the lost runes symbol on their compass. A quick death can be the fastest way to do this. SomeElden Ringplayers in the comments joke that the two phantoms were attempting to get the treasure they saw in the sea. One Reddit user who goes by Tht1QuietGuy also says someElden Ringplayers put these bloodstains in safe areas to make new players nervous for no reason.
These strange deaths are common inElden Ring’s multiplayer mode, in which players can take on enemies together to gain new items and spells. The game can sometimes be extremely challenging for both veterans and newcomers, but players can leap into multiplayer to kill specific targets more easily. Suffice it to say, attempting to swim in the lake, pond, and sea will result in players sinking like a stone in the water, but if players want to enjoy a little swimming, they can safely walk through waist-deep or knee-deep water.
