It’s only around for a limited amount of time, and then it will never be available again, so it’s best to claim it before time runs out. How To Unlock The Free Curling Iron Emote in Fortnite
The requirements to unlock this emote are very simple;gamers need to play matches with five different friends during the Winterfest event.Players are still eligible for this reward regardless of the game mode that they decide to play with their friends during this time.
There is no visible ‘quest’ for this. Once the player met the requirements, they will receive the emote once it’s available.Players have until the end of the Winterfest event - July 28, 2025, at 9 AM ET - to complete it. Thefree Guff Gringle skin is also available until this same datefor everyone that plays on PC.
Meeting the requirements to receive this emote can be complicated for those that don’t know many people playingFortnite. But thankfully, there’s a simple solution thatdoesn’t require visiting community websitesand forums such as Reddit and Discord.
Gamers that want to find someone to team up with but don’t feel comfortable with chatting directly canplay Team Rumble or Squads with the Fill option on. Once they get teamed up with active players (those that aren’t AFK to leave immediately after being knocked out), they can send them a friend request.
Then, it’s all up to inviting them to the player’s party, and, at some point, someone will join. This doesn’t require too much effort, and who knows if they’ll end up finding the perfect teammate to join in on moreFortnitematches in the future.
