Final Fantasy 14recently announced players could look forward to a third installment ofEncyclopedia Eorzea. The lore book is currently in development byFinal Fantasy 14, though it currently has no projected release date.
Encyclopedia Eorzea 3was announced during the Live Letter from the Producer at the beginning ofthe 14-Hour Broadcast forFinal Fantasy 14. Though it has not received an official price, players can expect the encyclopedia to be priced at $50, and will almost certainly include a code for a minion or other cosmetic item with their purchase.

The previousEncyclopedia Eorzeabooks only coveredFinal Fantasy 14lore up through theStormbloodexpansion. Two expansions–ShadowbringersandEndwalker–have been released since then, both of which provided a massive amount of world-altering lore. Considering all the groundEncyclopedia Eorzea 3has to cover, the new lore book for the critically-acclaimed MMORPG will be a must-have forFinal Fantasy 14lore hounds.
Encyclopedia Eorzea 1and2, released in 2016 and 2018 respectively, were so massively popular that they sold out almost immediately. BothFinal Fantasy 14bookshave been frequently out of stock as Square Enix has tried to keep up with demand, and only recently stabilized its supply in a massive reprint during August 2022. If players hope to get their hands onEncyclopedia Eorzea 3, they had best pre-order their copies as soon as it becomes available.
Players are understandably excited about the announcement of the newFinal Fantasy 14lore book. The two previous hard-cover encyclopedias were beautifully-made, and full of incredible world building. The tomes include fascinating trivia about characters, locations, cultures, and even items found inFinal Fantasy 14. ConsideringShadowbringersandEndwalkercontained some oftheFinal Fantasy 14community’s favorite characters, it is no surprise fans are eagerly awaiting any new lore they can find about their favorite heroes and villains.
Final Fantasy 14fans have plenty to look forward to in the near future. During the Live Letter from the Producer,Final Fantasy 14announced Patch 6.25 arrives on October 18, with Patch 6.3 likely to arrive before the end of 2022.Final Fantasy 14also revealed the dates for the Fan Festival for 2023 and 2024, where the next expansion is almost certain to be revealed. Hopefully players will get a formal announcement–and possibly even a release date–forEncyclopedia Eorzea 3at one of the three Fan Fest events as well.
