However,Fall Guyshas turned out to be a littletoopopular, with serious server overload causing the game’s servers to constantly be down for maintenance. TheFall Guysserver issues have persisted since launch, and fans are now roasting the game online because of it.
This has included jokes about theimpossibleFall Guystrophybeing actually getting into five consecutive matches, as well as the “always has been” meme being used to reference the game’s servers being down. TheFall GuysTwitter account seems to be taking the criticism in stride, even sharing some of the memes itself while apologizing for the server issues and connection errors that have kept fans from being able to play the game so far this weekend.

The latest report from theFall Guysserver owl Twitter account indicates that matchmaking is slowly being restored today. “We should have a greater capacity now for the weekend rush.” Whether or notFall Guys' server problems are behind it remains to be seen, however, and it’s possible that fans will still be running into server issues throughout the weekend and beyond.
It seems that theFall Guysconnection errors and associated server issues are due to the large number of players who are trying to play the game, so on the bright side, at least it seems to be pretty popular.Fall Guysbeing a free PS Plus game for August 2020has certainly helped, but positive word of mouth is likely playing a role as well.Fall Guyshas earned mostly positive reviews from critics so far, with many praising it as a genuinely fun new take on the increasingly-crowded battle royale genre.
WhenFall Guysgets its server issues sorted out, it’s safe to say that it could very well be the next big multiplayer hit. And one strategy it may use to achieve that is crossover content with other franchises. There’s already aHalf-Lifeskin in the Steam version of the game, and interactions on social media suggest thatCyberpunk 2077orWitchercontentcould be coming toFall Guysat some point down the line, though nothing official has been announced at the time of this writing.
