Like most of the updates that Bungie has pushed toDestiny 2, the multiplayer first-person shooter’s latest features a raft of new content and revisions. Headlined by the Season of the Seraph, players can access new activities, guns, and cosmetics, as they reacquaint themselves with the Warmind AI known as Rasputin. One aspect of the update that’s caught a lot of attention online, though, isitsAssassin’s Creedcrossover.
As a part of an agreement between Bungie and Ubisoft,DestinyandAssassin’s Creed-themed content has started to appear in places players wouldn’t normally expect. For example,inAssassin’s Creed Valhalla, Eivor can equip several futuristic gear pieces from the former’s IP. When it comes toDestiny 2specifically, however, Bungie has crammed an extensive list of references fromAssassin’s Creed’s history into its own crossover content.

The Eagle’s Warlock Armor
Destiny 2’sAssassin’s Creedcrossover is arguably headlined by three class-specific armor sets. While each references a specific character from Ubisoft’s past, the Warlock class' unique garb is the option that’s most instantly recognizable. That’s because Bungie has decided to base the Eagle’s Warlock set and its bond item on the franchise’s first protagonist, Altair.
Since Altair’s debut back in 2007, several Assassins have taken inspiration from his choice of clothing. It’s little surprise as a result of this that Bungie has referenced his look so closely in its own armor set. Aside from aDestiny-inspired helm, the class' red-accented robes and leather pieces look remarkably faithful to Ubisoft’s series.
The Misthios Hunter Armor
Destiny 2players who prefer the Hunter class have exclusive access to an armor set that’s inspired byAssassin’s Creed Odyssey’s Kassandra. Unlike some of the series’ older heroes, it’s worth mentioning that players could kit out theirKassandra in an extensive list of clothing options. It’s likely for this reason that Bungie has based the Misthios Hunter armor on her trademark early-game Mercenary set. Although the majority of the armor is a reference to Ubisoft’s game, the publisher has added its own cape to the mix to keep it in line with other Hunter sets.
The Wolf-Kissed Titan Armor
Titan players aren’t excluded fromDestiny 2’sAssassin’s Creedcrossover either. Just like the aforementioned armor sets, for a limited amount of time, players can buy a class-specific look from the game’s virtual store. What makes the Wolf-Kissed Titan armor unique, though, is the fact that it’s a reference toAssassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Eivor. Featuring a bulky aesthetic and fur-covered shoulder plates, players who opt for the armor will look unmistakablylike the Viking warrior.
Destiny 2’s Assassin’s Creed Cosmetics
Destiny 2’sAssassin’s Creedarmor sets are only part of the equation when it comes to references, though. Rounding out the crossover are several cosmetics that are compatible with every class of Guardian. The first of these is a Ghost Shell that’s shapedlike an Apple of Eden. These ancient artifacts have played a major role in Ubisoft’s franchise, so it’s fitting to see them referenced through an important part of Bungie’s own universe.
Players can also traverseDestiny 2’s galaxy in two modes of transport that are references toAssassin’s Creed. Thanks to Bungie’s deal with Ubisoft, a brand-new Ship and Sparrow can be found in the Eververse store duringthe Season of the Seraph. The former appears to be a futuristic version of Leonardo da Vinci’s flying machine fromAssassin’s Creed 2, while the latter is a tribute to the horses that various characters have utilized throughout the series.
The final part ofDestiny 2’s second crossover partnership is a brand-new Finisher move. ThroughoutAssassin’s Creed’s history, its titular Brotherhood has become famous forcreating and utilizing Hidden Blades. It’s for this reason that Bungie has adapted the iconic weapon into an attack that each Guardian can use.
