ENDLESS Legend

How to Make a Trade Route

A Trade Route is established when roads or docks from one region link up with those in adjacent regions, which results in a massive increase in dust and science income for both territories. However, unlike the physical paths visible on the map, you can not see trade routes between regions.

To build a Trade Route in Endless Legend, you will need to start researching either Imperial Highways or Cargo Docks. These technologies unlock the improvements needed for building trade routes: Right of Way (in case of land connections) or Cargo Docks (in case of sea connections).

Once you are done with the research, it’s time to build. Construct Right of Way in cities for land connections or Cargo Docks in cities for sea connections. Ensure both cities have the necessary improvements to establish these links.

you may only connect cities within your empire or friendly ones (those belonging to peaceful or allied empires). However, if you have a Roving Clans hero with the Black Marketeer skill, you can connect to any valid city regardless of diplomatic relations.

Once your cities have built these structures, trade routes kick off automatically between them. Typically, each city can start one trade route, but capitals can develop two trade routes thanks to the Palace. Additionally, if a city initiates multiple trade routes, the game will usually select the ones that generate the most Dust and Science for you.

The city that starts the trade route is the origin, while the connected one is the destination. Remember, you only earn income from trade routes that start in your cities.

verify to check up on all your trade routes from time to time. you may see them all listed on the Empire Management Screen (just hit F1).
