Elden Ringdrops players into a brutal open world filled with nightmarish creatures and bosses. Aside from these challenging creatures, some of the more intense battles players will encounter are with other players. In recent proof of this, oneElden Ringplayer showed off their recent invasion and clash with another player in which they used a trap to their advantage.
Elden Ringis the latest game developed by FromSoftware, and it features similar gameplay elements as other series from this developer. One of these is the ability for players to invade other players' worlds and duel them for rewards.

This clip from Reddit user PrinceOfWorms shows their recent adventure when invading another player. The title of their post, “I’m a bad man,” points towards the actions they undertake while doing so. Upon encountering the host player atRaya Lucaria Academy inElden Ring, PrinceOfWorms notices that they are heading across a gap and on to a large set of sloping stairs. This set of stairs is the location of a trap in which an enormous ball rolls down the stairs, instantly killing unsuspecting players. PrinceOfWorms notices this and activates their Loretta’s Greatbow spell. Once this spell has reached its greatest strength, the player releases it and hits the host as they scramble up the stairs. This hit does just enough damage to put the targeted player right in the way of the fast-rolling boulder which then kills them.
Invading inElden Ringis never a guaranteed success but this clip by PrinceOfWorms makes it look easy. Traps areall over the world ofElden Ringand this moment shows off their effectiveness when invading or being invaded. In order to fully recreate this moment, players have to defeat Royal Knight Loretta in Caria Manor to get the Loretta’s Greatbow spell.
As with other FromSoftware games,Elden Ringgives players a long list of weaponsand spells to get to grips with. While this mixture of magic and traditional weaponry can be challenging to get correct,Elden Ringseems to have found the correct balance.
Then again, there are certain spells that have the potential toone shot some of the bosses inElden Ring. A Mage build with the right leveling can deal tremendous amounts of damage. Either way, this post shows a brutal but amusing invasion inElden Ring.
